Results and conclusions from the Workshop will be

presented at the DP Conference luncheon on Tuesday,

October 15.

The afternoon session will focus on the guidance on

Professional Development of DP personnel using

MDAT. This is a two-part session. The first part will

focus on training the way it is currently accomplished.

The second phase will focus on MDAT and how it could

be leveraged to enhance the ability of DP personnel to

deliver incident-free DP operations.

The need for comprehensive testing (hardware and software)

as part of the DP FMEA proving trials was acknowledged as a

focus area, and the MTS DP Subcommittee on Guidance and Standards accordingly embarked on developing

TECHOP Guidance documents on Testing. The documents address the traditional hardware testing, as well as

providing focus on software and testing of software dependent systems.

The session will include an overview of the methodology used to develop the documents. This session is

intended to facilitate a review of the TECHOP and to explore means of maximizing the effectiveness of the

TECHOP, including identifying opportunitites for improvement.
