Section I: Introduction Many of our customers are using the Dymo® Printer to print bin labels. At the request of these customers, we have assembled the following instructions based on the generous submissions, expertise and experience of Epicor users like yourself. The following instructions are for informational purposes only and are not intended to infringe upon any copyrights or license requirements of any entity. No warranty is expressed or implied and we cannot accept responsibility should a problem arise. This information is distributed only as a means to assist you in printing bin labels with your Dymo® printer. As always, we encourage input from the user community. Section II: Configuring the Dymo® Printer for Use With Epicor

A. From the PC that the Dymo® printer is to be installed: 1. In Windows to set up printer: 2. Install the DYMO printer per instructions with the CD included

with your printer 3. Then in Windows: 4. Go to <Start> 5. Select <Printers and Faxes> and a new window will open 6. Right click on <Dymo LabelWriter> and a new menu will open 7. Select <Properties> and a new window will open 8. Select <Sharing> and a new window will open 9. Share printer, accept the shared name by default 10. Select <Device Settings> and a new window will open 11. Change default label to <30336> 1 x 2-1/8 SMALL 12. Select <Ok> and close out of <Printers and Faxes>

B. In Network Access to set up printer:

1. At FUNCTION:_______, type <MPS> and press <Enter> 2. Press <F7> or click on <Next> until you find an unused printer

number 3. At Printer Number:_______, type <14> and press <Enter> 4. At Printer Type:_________, type <E> and press <Enter> 5. At Availability:__________, type <A> and press <Enter> 6. At Form Used in Printer:__________, press <Enter> and leave blank 7. At Comment:__________, type description of printer and press

<Enter> 8. Press <F4> or click on <Add> 9. Press <Page Up> button for next screen 10. At Server IP Address: ____-____-____-____ enter the IP address

for PC with printer 11. At Printer Name: enter the exact name for printer 12. At Font Name: Courier New, press <Enter> to accept 13. At Font Size: 8.4, press <Enter> to accept 14. At Orientation: Portrait, type <Landscape> and press <Enter> 15. At Direct Point: No, type <Yes> and press <Enter> 16. Press <Page Up> button for next screen 17. Press <F5> or click on <Change> 18. Exit out of Network Access

Sample Settings:

• Printer Number: 14 • Printer Type: E • Availability: A • Form Used in Printer: _________ • Comment: DYMO LabelWriter USB • Printer Number: 14 • Server IP Address: 192.168.001.114 • Printer: DYMO LabelWriter USB • Font Name: Courier New • Font Size: 8.4 • Orientation: Landscape • Direct Print: Yes

C. Set Up Listener Program

1. Go to <Start> 2. Select <All Programs> 3. Select <Eagle> 4. Select <Utilities> 5. Select <Network Configuration> and a new window will open 6. Put a check in the box “Is this PC a Network Printer Server” 7. Click on <Start Listener> 8. Click on <Apply> 9. Click on <Ok> to close window 10. Add <Listener> to the startup menu

D. Set Up Epicor Eagle For Windows Operations Configuration

1. <Applications Menu> 2. <System Management Menu> 3. <Options Configuration Menu> 4. <Options Configuration> 5. Select Subsystem <RF> 6. Select Options <All Options> press <Enter> 7. Filter on Description contains “Network” 8. Change the following options and save:

1. Press <F7> or click on <Pg Format> and a new window will open 2. Make the following changes:

• Columns 1 • Row 1 • Margin Bottom 0 • Margin Left 0.22 (This can vary, try testing .1 and .22) • Margin Right 0 • Margin Top 0 • Horizontal Label Gap 0 • Vertical Label Gap 0 • Label Height 1 • Label Width 2 (This can vary, try testing 2, 2.125, 2.5 –

3. Click <Ok>

Force Portrait Unchecked

4. Press <F5> or click on <Save Lbl> to save label format as “RF Bin Labels”

5. Press <Ctrl+P> or click on <Print Test> a new window opens 6. In Print Label window – select <Ptr Setup> a new window opens 7. In Page Setup window – select <Printer> a new window opens 8. In Page Setup window – select DYMO® Label Writer USB then

<Properties> a new window opens 9. Change Layout Orientation to <Landscape> the click on

<Advanced> a new window opens 10. Select and change paper size to <30336 1 x 2-1/8 small>

then click on <Ok> five times 11. Click on <Misc. Kpad> press or select 2 <Lock Label> 12. Press <F5> or click on <Save Lbl> to save label format as

“RF Bin Labels” You should now be able to print bin labels without error messages

Section III: Configuring the Dymo® Printer For Use With Your RF Scanner

A. Set Up The Listener Program 1. From the PC that the label printer will be used: 2. Open the Eagle browser 3. START à PROGRAMS à EAGLE à EAGLE BROWSER 4. OPEN NETWORK CONFIGURATION 5. SERVER” 9. CLICK ON APPLY 10. CLICK ON START LISTENER 11. CLICK ON OK

B. Set-up The Printer Definition

1. OPEN NETWORK ACCESS 2. START à PROGRAMS à EAGLE à NETWORK ACCESS 3. TYPE: MPS 4. PRESS [ENTER] 5. PRESS: [NEXT] TO SEARCH FOR AN UNUSED PRINTER

NUMBER 6. TYPE THE NUMBER THAT WILL BE USED TO IDENTIFY

19. TYPE THE EXACT NAME THAT WINDOWS USES FOR THE PRINTER

C. Set Up The RF Scanner

1. OPEN THE EAGLE BROWSER 2. START à PROGRAMS à EAGLE à EAGLE BROWSER 3. OPEN OPTIONS CONFIGURATION 4. APPICATIONS à SYSTEM MANAGEMENT MENU à OPTIONS

CONFIGURATION MENU à OPTIONS CONFIGURATION 5. UNDER SUBSYSTEM SELECT: RF 6. UNDER OPTIONS SELECT: ALL OPTIONS 7. CLICK: DISPLAY 8. A LIST OF OPTIONS WILL APPEAR 9. SET “NETWORK PRINTER NUMBER FOR FLEX-LABELS” THIS

WILL BE THE NUMBER THAT THE PRINTER WAS PREVIOUSLY ASSIGNED TO.

10. SET “RF NETWORK LABEL FORMAT ‘L’” TO THE FORMAT THAT YOU ARE USING CURRENTLY FOR LABELS.

11. SET “SHELF MANAGER PRINTER TYPE” TO NETWORK PRINTER.

The RF scanner should be set up to go now. Be certain to select “L” during set-up of the scanner. Other label formats can be linked to the other letter number for different types of labels. All of the set-up information can be found in the HELP menus by searching “Network Printer” and selecting “Setting Up Network Report Printing” under the heading “What’s new on Level 26”.
