Diamond Yello Account is a product & service that merges banking services with Telco

benefits for MTN registered subscribers.

Super Agents

These are organizations that recruit and aggregate Agents

for the purpose of providing Agency services for DYA.

Retail Agents

These are individuals or organizations that offer deposit,

withdrawal and registrations services to the customers.

Merchant - These are individuals or organisations

that accept payments for goods and services on the

DYA platform

Non-registered recipients do not have an account but can

still receive money from registered Diamond Yello Account

Customers through 3rd party withdrawal i.e. token

generation

They receive a token which they can withdraw for full

amount at agent outlets.

The tokens are valid for 1 month following which they

expire and funds revert to the sender. (DYA Registered

Customer)

The Retail Agent hands over the amount of money in cash that hehas received as deposit into his DYA agent account

Cash Withdrawal – From Account

Cash Out Completed!

The Customer informs the Agent of his intention of doing a Cash withdrawal. The Agent confirms that he has enough cash & inform customer to fill register and proceeds.

The Retail Agent accesses his own DYA Menu by dialling *502# and follows the steps to perform a Cash withdrawal.

The Customer receives a verification SMS. The Customer has to dial *707# and approve the Cash withdrawal from his DYA menu.

The Agent asks the customer to turn on the “Allow Cash Out” functionality on the Customer’s DYA menu.

Both Retail Agent and Customer receive a SMS confirming theCash withdrawal has been

completed.

The Retail Agent hands over the amount of money in cash that hehas received in float

Know Your Customer

This is vital for the following reasons:

To comply with the requirements of relevant Anti-Money Laundering

legislation and regulations;

To help MTN Nigeria to be reasonably certain that the customers are who

they say they are, and that it is appropriate to provide them with the

service;

To help identify, during the course of a relationship, what is unusual and

potentially suspicious transaction behaviour;

To assist law enforcement agencies by providing available information on

customers being investigated following a suspicious activity report.

Know Your Customer (KYC) is a critical part of the overall Diamond Yello

Account Anti-Money Laundering program. KYC refers to the process of

verifying the identity of prospective customers.

Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

Diamond Yello Account Agents and their staff are expected to avail their

best efforts to prevent Diamond Yello Account from being used for money

laundering or financing of terrorism.

In case of a suspicious transactions

If you are suspicious continue with the transaction in a polite

but cautious manner..

Obtain as much information as possible.

Do not notify the customer about your actions; neither should

you make the customer suspicious.

Report the transaction by calling the Diamond Yello Account

agent helpdesk on 182.

Do not discuss the matter with colleagues, unless they are in

your direct reporting lines.

for money laundering

o At the end of each month, MTN will calculate the commissions

payable to every agent.

o MTN pays the Commission directly into Agent’s Diamond Yello

Account into the Agent’s on or before the 15th working day of the

following month.

o The retail agent will receive SMS notification confirming that the

commission has been paid into his account.

o If the retail agent requires a commission statement, the same can

be obtainable from his Super Agent.
