Case IH DX40 and DX45 FARMALL compact tractors

transmission, a DX Series tractor gives you clutch-

Or choose a mechanical gear transmission
available on certain models — either a 9x3 sliding
gear or a 12x12 synchronized shuttle. The DX55 and
DX60 MFD tractor is available with a 12x12 electro-
hydraulic clutchless power shuttle for faster cycle
times with a loader.
All models feature rugged mechanical front-wheel
drive (MFD) that gets you through slippery spots and
loose soil or sand with 50% less wheel slip.
Hydrostatic power steering and wet-disc brakes make operating the tractor feel as familiar as your

The FARMALL tractor is designed with you in mind! The sleek styling of the sloped hood improves

Case IH 3- and 4-cylinder diesel engines provide continuous, dependable power for the most demanding situ-
ations. Their parent bore design with deep skirt and ribbed engine block ensure rugged, dependable performance.
For your safety, retractable seat belts and ROPS (Roll Over Protection Structure) are standard
equipment. Add a FOPS (Falling Object Protection Structure) canopy, sunshade, or a soft cab to keep the

delivering an instant response and total flow of up to 17.5 gpm, the

In addition to an LX Series loader, front-mounted implements include
a blade, rotary broom, and snowblower. An available front Quick-Attach
subframe simplifies swapping attachments in minutes — no tools and
no helpers needed. And rear mounted and mid-mount PTOs allow you to
run mowers, snowblowers, brooms, and more.
A heavy-duty 3-point hitch handles the heavy lifting of rear-mounted
implements, including a snowblower, tiller, and rear finishing mower.
For fast rear implement attachment, telescoping stabilizers are
standard equipment on most DX FARMALL tractors. On all deluxe
models, the 3-point hitch features flexible link ends as standard
equipment, plus a crank-operated leveling adjustment so attaching
implements is quick and convenient. In fact, it only takes one
person to hook up attachments.
The standard Quick-Latch system means you can mount and removethe loader in minutes without extra hands or tools. Quickly changeattachments — buckets, manure fork, pallet fork, or balespear — as needed with the optionalQuick-Attach face plate. A grilleguard or bolt-on bucket cuttingedge is also available.
LX Series loaders feature high lift capacityof up to 2,500 lbs. (1135 kg) at thepins at full height on utility modelsto lift larger loads higher.
A 4-bar linkage gives greater rollback for better bucket filling andmaterial retention at travel height. It also results in a greater dumpangle for complete cleanout — a huge help with sticky material.
For easy operation and faster cycle times, theloader control lever is conveniently located to theright of the steering wheel or nestled into theright fender, depending on the model.
Unlike competitive loader designs, the curved boom arms of an LX Series loader don’t compromise visibility or service
access. The innovative design provides greater strength with less weight compared to traditional dog-leg designs. The
mid-mount loader is fully compatible with mid-mount mowers and front-mounted blades or snowblowers.
Built tough to take the twisting forces of heavy-duty loader work, LX Series loaders use industrial-style cast
reinforcements and a large torque tube. Lubing the loader is simple thanks to rifle-barrel grease zerks that can be
reached easily without raising loader arms or dumping the bucket.
