dayleneA BIT ABOUT

Daylene is originally from Montana, near Glacier National

Park! She grew up in the mountains and loves adventure.

She has been a white water rafting guide and has worked

for the national forest service. Her love for the outdoors

led her to Colorado, where she enjoys snowboarding,

mountain biking, fly fishing, rock climbing and more.

Daylene currently resides in Denver and loves everything

about the city!

WHEN I GOT STARTED AS A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER,

I saw a lot of posed

photos, where the

couple was smiling at the

camera. While this isn’t

a bad thing, I also saw

photos that had passion,

romance and drama in

them; photos I wanted

to stare at for a long

time. They told a story in

themselves. Since then,

I have been practicing

the art of creating a

moment; a moment that

stirs the senses.

Paying close attention to the details, I have loved telling the couple’s

story, from their engagement through the wedding day!

My couples are the highlight of my work and I can truly say they are

friends and not clients when the wedding is over. This is the best part

about my job and I absolutely love it!

ApproachABOUT MY

You have labored over every detail

for the special day. I love capturing

your creativity & unique style. You

can be sure I won’t miss a thing!

Engagement ShootSO, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT ?

Engagements are one of my favorite things to shoot. It is a relaxed environment where you get to plan your dream shoot. Your unique personality and

ideas can be conveyed and there is no time constraint. We also get to know one another and learn how to work together to accomplish stunning photos,

great practice for your wedding day.

My favorite engagements are ones where the couples plans what they want and bring their creative ideas. I had a couple who wanted to replicate

Moonrise Kingdom and since she worked for the girl scouts she wanted to make a teepee. We put our heads together and came up with a fantastic shoot

filled with details and a beautiful teepee. Of course, not all engagements have to be so involved, it can just be the two of you and your love.

LocationIf you don’t have a location in mind, I can help you brainstorm ideas. When the location

is special to the couple, the photos carry much more meaning. Think of a place where

he proposed or a place you like to go together. If you are a couple who goes out on

the town a lot, picking a city location is much more meaningful. If you are outdoor

enthusiasts, taking pictures at your favorite hiking spot or lake etc. will be ideal.

Bridal ShootPlan this shoot the same day you have hair and makeup trials. Pick up your wedding

gown and we can document you as a bride, calm before the wedding day. Feel free

to ask about my favorite hair and make-up teams.

THIS IS FOR BRIDES WHO WANT TO MAKE A SEXY LITTLE BOOK FOR THEIR MAN.

It doesn’t have to be too riské but then again it can be.If you want to wear your wedding lingerie and make a little book for him to open on your big day.

You can also do a 10 min shoot like this before you put on your dress for the big day.

The

HELPFUL TIPS FORA STRESS-FREE DAY

Beautiful Light A Beautiful Photo! You have to plan to get the right light in a

photo. Having photos at the right time of day

can make the photo. Colorado often has a

harsh sun. The sun creates a soft, glowing and

romantic light about 2 hours before sunset.

Coordinate your day to have at least half an

hour of time in this ideal light.

If you aren’t sure when the sun sets on your

wedding day, google it! There are websites

that will tell you when sunset will be. Then

make sure to add to your timeline half an hour

of romantic photos with your new spouse.

FirstLook

The reason I love a first look is

because it gives the bride & groom

a chance to slip away after hair and

makeup and be alone together.

It gives me the opportunity to

capture that precious moment

and the expression as the groom

first sees his bride. The upside for

you as a couple is more time. You

can take family and bridal party

pictures before your ceremony and

have a chance to be present at your

party instead of being whisked

away for hours of photos after you

are married.
