From the Principal’s Desk… Dear Eisenhower Parents, A very special thank you goes out to everyone
who helped and participated in our annual Ike
Fright Night. It was a fabulous success starting with the
games, the Haunted Hallway (coordinated by the Student
Council, National Honor Society and the teachers), the
deliciously creepy café, and ending with the fun dance for
the older grades. Thanks to all the parents who contributed
candy, donations, and time. This could not have happened
without a lot of help and the coordination and leadership of
our special chairperson, Kim Dockins, and her committee
heads: Anna Kenbok, Jori Dusseau, Hannah Coetzee, and
Robyn Williams…and over 80 volunteers! Thank you
everyone – a fun time was had by all. Snow White
thoroughly enjoyed herself, and along with Dusty and 500+
kids had a blast! Thank you so much for continuing this
priceless Ike tradition! The Eisenhower teachers of 40
years ago designed this tradition in lieu of classroom
Halloween parties. I know they would be proud of the
fabulous tradition it has become and continues to be!
We are excited to be able to bring back formal
Parent/Teacher Conferences this year, due to our high
performing status as a school corporation. If you have not
arranged for an appointment with your child’s teacher as of
yet, please be sure to do so via email A.S.A.P. Conferences
are being scheduled through the first two weeks of
November. If you are not receiving emails from your
teacher or me, please be sure to update your information.
We are discovering that many email addresses have
changed since parents entered them at registration time. A
friendly reminder to please keep the office updated with
your current email address. ☺
We wrapped up our Red Ribbon Week today. Ms. Johnson did an
exemplary job coordinating a wonderful and educational experience
