  • Dear children,

    The much awaited summer vacation is here again. Yes, it’s a break from

    studies, early mornings and tests. It’s also the time for fun, watching

    television, visiting new places and meeting your near and dear ones.

    Remember, most importantly, it is the time to inculcate good reading habits.

    So read plenty of books and newspaper on a regular basis. Work on

    Vocabulary enhancement. Pick up new hobbies. Watch informative

    programmes on National Geographic and Animal Planet. Work on building

    up your strengths. Don’t forget to lend a helping hand at home.

    We wish that you enjoy every minute of this long break with your family and

    friends.

    It will be great if you are able to find time to visit museums and monuments,

    learn new things and explore new areas near your house. We are giving

    worksheets of different subject, which you can do during the noontime.

    Wishing, all of you a very enjoyable and fun-packed summer break.

    Note:- Date of submission : 27th June, (9:00 to 11:00 am)

    Submission of work post vacation is compulsory for all students.

    1. Start the revision for all the subjects as per the syllabus of UT-1 which is scheduled from

    July onwards.

    2. Written Homework of all the subjects is to be done as per the instructions & guidance

    given by the subject teacher.

    3. The child will be assessed for the Handwriting, presentation, neatness, completion of all

    the given questions. Therefore, questions must be done in the given sequence

    aesthetically.

    4. Parents can be the facilitators for the child at home but let the child complete his work

    independently & in his own handwriting.

    Date sheet and Syllabus of Unit Test -1 is in the end. Students are

    requested to revise the whole thoroughly.

  • SUGGESTIONS FOR THE PARENTS In this modern world parents get very little time to spend with their little prince/princess so we are suggesting a few activities for the parents to help them spend quality time with their ward.

    LISTENING Tell various moral, fantasy and grandmaa stories to your ward at bed time . Help the child listen to chirping of birds in the morning & identify the birds for example Sparrow.

    SPEAKING Converse in English with your child & encourage the child to communicate freely with visitors, relatives who come to the house. Encourage the child to use day to day magic words like Sorry, Thank you, Please, Excuse me etc.

    For spiritual development encourage the child to start & end the day with prayers. COUNTING IS A FUN

    Help your ward to learn your cell phone & residence phone numbers. Circle & mark birthdays of his/her friends and family members in a calendar so that he/she can be the first one to wish them. SHARING IS CARING

    Guide the child to be cooperative while playing with friends. Encourage the child to share his/her toys /belongings with friends /siblings to make them feel special, happy & important. GOOD MANNERS & PERSONALITY ENHANCEMENT Encourage your child to help in laying the table for dinner. Ask the child to keep his/her toys & belongings back at their place.

    Encourage your child to take bath daily & follow regular time for eating, playing, sleeping, watching T.V & listening stories. EXERCISE IS WISE Exercise everyday with your child to boost up energy levels. Go for walk / cycling/ play games like catch me if you can, hide & seek

    for making the child healthy & fit. GO GARDENING --Gardening teaches us the science of growing up & imparts human values. It also help kids to maintain their calm & composure. LITTLE MAPS CHEF Help the child learn a lot of simple & safe dishes while having fun in the

    I Prepare a table mat on ‘A3 coloured sheet’ on any of your favourite topic in English. For

    Eg: Kinds of Nouns, Forms of verb etc. [Mention your ‘ Full name and House- name’

    (Pitamber, Gopeshwar etc) at the back- side of the table mat. Kindly laminate your sheet

    properly. [The table mat will be kept in the class and will be used by the child during lunch

    time.]

    II Read the English reader book- ‘HEIDI’. Write a paragaraph on your favourite character

    from the story. [This task has to be completed neatly on A4 sheet.]

    III Do 20 pages of handwriting in a thin notebook.

    IV Complete the English Worksheet properly and revise the syllabus well for English UT-1.
