    Product Specifi cations

    The Delta Series Air Cooled Condensers have continually demonstrated their position as the industry benchmark in performance, reliability and durability within the Refrigeration and HVAC industry. The Delta Series provides many proven qualities to satisfy your long term investment.

    The specific features include:

    • Increased energy efficiency (EER)

    • 800mm AC and EC fan technology as standard

    • Capacity control from 0-100% possible on EC version, 2 speed on AC version

    • Low noise output available

    • Solid Marine grade stucco aluminium housing, proven life endurance in Australian climate

    • Innovative cowling design with integrated air straightener

    • Gold epoxy coated fin corrosion resistant alloy material, which is more durable than other standard fin material

    • Available in single or double fan rows

    • Reduced width and suitable for container shipping

    • Semi-floating coil - The header tube design is semi-floating to reduce the risk of damage from external influences like compressor gas pulsations, and allows for expansion and contraction in the header and entry tubes caused by extreme temperature fluctuations.

    Standard Features

    • 12.7mm diameter copper tube expanded into ripple aluminium coil blocks (472 fins/m)

    • Internal ripple finned copper tube providing additional heat transfer and improved oil return

    • Positive air seal between all fans

    • Dual speed motors standard on 3 Phase: - AC - High Speed - AC - Low Speed - EC

    • Separate sub-cooling circuits. (Note for 9ºC sub-cooling, this has the effect of reducing the stated capacity by approx. 5%)

    Compressor Capacity 250kW (Open Compressor) Refrigerant R22 Suction Temperature 0°C Air Temp. on entering condenser +35°C Required condensing temp. +45°C (high speed fan) Temp. difference (TDK) = 10 KTD Heat rejection factor (Table 1) = 1.2 Total heat rejection required = 250 x 1.2 = 300 kW Selected model LDV 454B which has a capacity of 326.6 kW at 10K TD Actual TD = 300 ÷ 32.66 = 9.18 KTD

    The heat load on a compressor always exceeds that of the evaporator by an amount equal to the heat of compression. Since the work (heat) of compression per unit of refrigeration capacity changes depending upon the compression ratio, the heat load on the condenser varies with the operating conditions of the system and compressor design or type - that is, open or suction cooled hermetics.

    For this reason, whenever possible the selection of an air cooled condenser should be based on the compressor manufacturers published heat rejection ratings and operating limitations applicable to that particular machine. In the absence of manufacturers data, the condenser heat rejection factor tables listed may be used to obtain an approximate heat of rejection.
