    PRESENCE OF TREES

Although there are a lot of trees within the urbanspace in Ciudad de los ngeles, about the 35% of thepublic space into the area consists in spaces with fewor no trees.

Trees always suppose a reduction of the fraction ofthe sight of the sky, and they are an obstacle tonaturallight. In spite of this, they are a good

    protection against heat in summer.

However, we may consider, generally within thepublic space, a wide angle of sight facing the sky canbe seen

    BUILDING AGE AND CRITICAL

FACADESThe analysis of this fact was related either to the ageof the building or the amount of sun radiation publicspace receives.

The facades more critical related to winter conditionsare the ones facing to colder public spaces. However, the facades more critical related to summerconditions are the ones facing to hotter publicspaces.

In both casses the more crytical facades facingweatherizarion are in the older buildings because ofthe running down of both materials and facades.
