and try to stay in sync throughout
If one group gets ahead of the other, wait on sideline until other group is ready to make the next pass across the floor
Do NOT pick up your mop during entire mopping procedure
Quick Mopper Duties Quick moppers must see when floor
becomes wet – any time a player falls to the floor or drips on the floor
Acknowledge wet spot by raising hand
Go to the wet spot, mop quickly and thoroughly and return in 6 to 8 seconds
If wet spot is in front court near first referee, wipe then stay behind first referee for one rally and return.
Quick Mopper Duties Quick moppers must be assertive
and go whenever there is a possibility of a wet spot.
Moppers do NOT take direction from the players or coaches.
Moppers act on their own initiative or on direction of the referees.
Quick Mopper Responsibilities
• Quick moppers behind Second Referee – responsible for front zones.
• Quick moppers near warm-up area – responsible for back zones.
• If wet spot is large, or there is more than one wet spot, assist each other.
