. The last date to submit the registration form is . A copy of registration certificate, degree certificate and proof of identity are to be attached with the registration form (mandatory).
Registration fee includes registration kit, technical sessions, tea and lunch.
The boarding and lodging will be arranged on request, at least 7 days before the workshop on payment basis.

About the workshop
Department of Moalejat, School of Unani Medical Education and Research, Jamia Hamdard, has a unique and fine integration of traditional Unani and latest scientific knowledge of the field with the vision of development of Unani Medicine. It has been involved in clinical research since years and is contributing to generation of evidence-based data on safety and efficacy of Unani drugs and therapies including Ilaj-bit-Tadbeer and advancement of Unani Medicine with the preservation of its traditional wisdom.
Ilaj-bit-Tadbeer centre has been in existence since 2001 under the Department of Moalejat and has been a centre of attraction for delegations and visitors of national and international level. The centre has successfully and effectively catered to the patients of various lifestyle, dermatological, neurological and musculoskeletal disorders etc. as adjuvant treatment or stand alone, which has resulted into increasing popularity and trust amongst the ailing population.
Ilaj-bit-Tadbeer centre of Jamia Hamdard has been identified as a centre of excellence for training to CCRUM officers, Govt. medical officers and physicians/ practitioners. The efficacy and safety of Hijamah has been proved by numerous clinical trials carried out in the department and published in various reputed journals.
Ilaj-bit-tadbeer encompasses various regimens which
allow intervention in the six essential factors which
improvise purification, detoxification and rejuvenation.
The objective is to achieve complete mental, physical and
spiritual well-being in a natural way. Hijamah (Cupping
Therapy) is one of those significant regimens of Ilaj-bit-
tadbeer which is widely practised therapeutic regimen in
the Unani classical literature and its use has been indicated
in a variety of disorders ranging from systemic diseases to
chronic pain syndromes.

upsurge of interest in
this regimen due to
its efficacy and safety
in various lifestyle
and other disorders,
various Hijamah
centres are
mushrooming and
practitioners are
more interested in
starting this therapy
at their own centres.
But systematic
training and guidance
is not available widely and this could lead to
malpractice as well as untoward health effects.
The objective is to provide the participants hands-on-
training on Hijamah with a view to promote scientific
practice of Hijamah. The programme will focus on the
application, principles and techniques of Hijamah. We
propose to have a small number of participants for better

interaction with the practical as well as theoretical
understanding in the area of Hijamah .
l Lectures on fundamentals of Hijamah (cupping
therapy), mechanism, scientific explanation and
understanding of the subject.
l Relevant case studies, discussions from real life
experiences and audio-visual presentations.
l Practical hands on training coupled with
theoretical aspect.
l A one to one approach and live demonstrations
l The methodology will be both interactive and
participatory.
Unani graduates and post graduates (research officers,
private practitioners, medical officers, students, and
academia).
Participation will be limited to a maximum of 30
candidates (on a first come first serve basis).
