String Ensemble 2018 This year we will again be forming a String

Ensemble. The group will be tutored and guided

by Miss Cassandra de Bona (University of

Sydney student and former OC student of

Dural). The session time is Wednesday

afternoons 3:30-4:30pm in the ICT room

starting in week 3 (there is a small term fee

involved). The string ensemble will be playing

at the Acacia concert at the Sydney Opera House

in May this year. Please contact Mrs

Heinrichson if you are interested in your child

being a part of this ensemble. Places are limited.

The Year 6 'Class of 2018' Jacket The Year 6 'Class of 2018' baseball style jacket

with zip front will be available to our Year 6

students as a practical part of their uniform

whilst also being a special memento of all their

friends. The jacket will be printed on the front

and the full size print of all the students’ names

on the back; in a design that the students vote for

as a whole. The cost of the navy blue and sky

baseball jacket with school crest, design and

names is $52.

If you would like to purchase the Year 6 'Class

of 2018' jacket please return the order form and

payment with the Term 1 invoice by Friday

26th February, 2018. No orders can be put in

after this date.

The Year 6 Engraved Brick Facing This year we are getting in early with our brick

facings! $35 entitles your child to have their

name engraved into a brick facing as a lasting

record of their time at Dural PS. The brick

facing will be permanently installed on the wall

of the hall. Check out last year’s brick facings

on the hall wall to see what they will look like.

We anticipate this to be a very formal and

lasting memory of your child’s time at Dural.

You will have ONE opportunity to be involved.

Whilst this is optional it would be terrific if

every Year 6 student could participate by

purchasing an engraved brick face.

The note is in the Term 1 invoice and

permission and money is due by Friday 26th

February, 2018.

A big Welcome to OOSH 2018!

Well another year has started and Dural OOSH has quite a few kindy children starting in the next couple of weeks. To ensure their safety, our friendly educators will pick up your children from their classrooms and show them the way to OOSH. We will be picking up the children for the entire two weeks the kindy children finish school early. When they arrive at OOSH, they will be given afternoon tea before the other children arrive.

Kindy parents, please note that breakfast and afternoon teas are fully catered for by our catering company – Tuckshop, so your children will be well fed after a busy day. Please make sure that your child does not bring food (breakfast or uneaten lunches) to the centre due to other children with allergies.

If you haven’t already booked your child into OOSH and need Before or After School Care, please contact our office on 9653 9331 and someone will be able to help you.

It’s a wrap – Summer Vacation Care was a huge success with the centre having record numbers attending. Here is a snapshot of some great things we did.

CANTEEN The Canteen is back in full swing. We had our first

Kindy customers yesterday - so cute!

We have introduced 2 new lunchtime meals, supplied

by Georgie Baker -

Italian Meatballs (with Penne Pasta) - $4.50

Singapore Noodles (Gluten Free) - $4.00

Give them a try, as they are yummy!
