The FSA is regarded by both consumers and financial service professionals
as the pre-eminent financial regulatory body and is empowered under
the UK Government’s Financial Services & Markets Act to supervise and
regulate financial services business in and from the United Kingdom.
Our Firm Reference Number is 466201. You may view the financial
services which we are authorised to provide on the FSA website
(http://www.fsa.gov.uk/pages/register/) together with a list of persons
holding personal approval under the company’s license.
You will see from the FSA registration that we are a ‘FULL SCOPE FIRM’
– this is the highest threshold authorisation that we can receive and it
imposes a higher level of compliance requirements than other firms –
which gives our clients the added protections and security they are looking
for in a broker.

Segregated Client Money:
Unlike some FSA firms, One Financial Markets does not mix client
money with its own funds. One Financial Markets segregates client
monies separately from its own and does not use client monies for its
own financing needs, thus providing additional comfort and protection to
clients. Our client funds are held with HSBC in London in a segregated
account under Trust status.
Financial Service Compensation Scheme:
We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Under
the scheme clients may be entitled to compensation if we cannot, for
any reason, meet our obligations. Most types of business are covered for
100% of the first GBP50, 000. Further information about compensation
arrangements is available from the Financial Services Compensation
Scheme.

whAT iS A CFD?

In effect CFDs are financial derivatives that allow investors to take
advantage of prices moving up (long positions) or prices moving down
(short positions) on underlying financial instruments, without having to
take physical delivery of those instruments. So, a share CFD allows an
investor to receive all the benefits of owning a stock without having to
physically acquire it. Buying or selling the movement in the share price
through a margined CFD replicates a physical equity trade. Trading with
CFDs therefore gives you the opportunity to benefit regardless of whether
the price of an instrument is falling or rising.
Buying and Selling CFDs:
When you BUY a commodity, share or equity index, you buy the CFD. To
make a profit, you require the price of the commodity, share or index to
go up.
Conversely, when you SELL a commodity, share or equity index, you sell
the CFD and you require the price of the commodity, share or index to
go down in order to make a profit. One Financial Markets offers CFDs in
many different financial instruments and markets, not just commodities
and equity markets.
Financing Costs:
Certain CFD positions carried overnight may incur finance fees. These
fees may be payable by you or due to you, depending on whether you are
long or short. One Financial Markets respects the requirement of some of
our clients not to be exposed to finance fees and can provide interest free
accounts in special circumstances.

supporting ID documents. Please note that you need to submit your original application and/or supporting
documents within 14 days by standard mail to the London Office.

Supporting Documentation (Non-UK residents)
All application forms must be accompanied by proof of residential address and proof of identity.
I. Proof of Address: an original or certified* copy of a recent (no more than 4 months old) utility bill or bank
statement stating your name and residential address. Bills and statements printed off the internet are not
acceptable.
II. Proof of Identity: a certified* copy of your valid passport, National ID card or photocard drivers licence.
*Certification may be carried out by a One Financial Markets approved person, lawyer, Notary Public, Consulate
or Embassy official. The person certifying the documents should state the capacity in which they are certifying
the documents and attach an official stamp to the document(s) which is dated. Furthermore, we politely request
that the contact details for the certifying authority are also provided.
All copies must be clear and certification must be legible, dated and signed.
Avoiding Delays
Please ensure all application forms are completed in full and the information you provide is accurate. This will
ensure we can process your application in a timely manner.
Please note:
(i) a PO Box address will be accepted as a mailing address but a physical, residential address is also required;
(ii) An email address is necessary for us to send all account opening correspondence, including client statements.
