THE D3 EXPERIENCE

NOT JUST A LABEL in collaboration with Dubai Design District proposes to offer an innovative solution to fashion away from the usual fashion rhetoric.

Envisioning a story beyond the consumer the aim of The d3 Experience will be to celebrate the heritage of fashion and style in the Middle East while highlighting the contemporary pioneers who are creating a new tone in the fashion dialect.

Inbound, outbound and retail projects will combine to realise a vision yet to be experienced by the national and international community.

THE INBOUND D3 EXPERIENCE

The NJAL d3 Edition

A bi monthly or monthly newspaper focused on the Dubai Design District, the UAE at large, MENA based fashion, design, arts & culture The NJAL d3 Edition will be the authoritative voice on contemporary design in Dubai.

A free to receive broadsheet The NJAL will only be available at d3 or at d3 x NOT JUST A LABEL events. Although the possibility of exploring stockists and partners can be explored providing a colossal breakthrough in the UAE’s printed newspaper history.

Collaborations

In regards to stockists and partners for special editions hotels such as the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah hotel can be collaborated with to provide copies during Dubai Fashion Week. And the possibilities do not end there Audi could potentially provide copies in the back of their VIP fashion event cars.

These collaborations target the luxury market directly with a delicate yet well considered approach.

d3 Designers In Residence

Presenting a selection of NOT JUST A LABEL designers to Dubai and the world, the first instalment of the Dubai Design District at Meet d3 proved, with it’s momentous success, that all eyes and minds are open to celebrating emerging fashion the NJAL and Dubai way.

Introducing the next chapter the d3 Designers in Residence project will take the success of NOT JUST A LABEL x Meet d3 to new heights.

With this exciting offering three NJAL designers will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to live, create and present in Dubai for three months.

Retail

Creating a capsule collection exclusively sold in the NJAL retail space and a special lobby displayed in their residence of a haute couture piece made by the designers the face of luxury retail will get a truly modern perspective.

Partnerships

In partnership with the d3 residential spaces or hotels this offering allows the wider d3 space to connect in a sleek and innovative manner.

d3 International

A uniquely global focused campaign, d3 international will take the awe inspiring atmosphere of Dubai to continents across the globe in what can only be described as a one of a kind fashion experience.

Offering international customers, press & buyers the opportunity to experience d3 firsthand this series of events will further anchor Dubai and d3 as a truly coherent fashion destination.

With a selection of products from the designers selling in the NOT JUST A LABEL d3 retail space taking part in each satellite space this will be the ideal opportunity for the world’s leading emerging designers to present their collections to the world, all while cementing d3 and NOT JUST A LABEL as partners in celebrating emerging designers.

The NOT JUST A LABEL d3 Studio

A dedicated space in the d3 community with The NJAL d3 Edition on site the NOT JUST A LABEL d3 Studio will be the go to destination for emerging international, UAE and MENA fashion.

Curated and designed by the industry’s top architects, designers, stylists and artists the visual merchandising will push this space to levels not seen before.

In design concept the boundaries will also be rewritten with each season seeing the studio completely redesigned, giving the d3 visitor a new experience every time their travels bring them to Dubai and d3 - creating an environment that evolves over time while maintaining it’s intrinsic design core.

d3 Studio Sessions

International press, key influencers, local residents and visiting guests will come together under the NOT JUST A LABEL d3 Studio roof for a series of events designed to showcase the d3.

Designed to recreate the vibrant atmosphere of international destinations this will be a joining of contemporary creativity with traditional formats.

Reflecting the elegance of the Dubai community each event will have a stand alone marketing plan designed to ensure each event is seen as a unique offering while being part of an ongoing series.

Supporting Education & Business

With a centre for students and emerging designers alike, appointments can be scheduled in the space and so the studio will give rise to a revolutionary new service for supporting emerging designers and the fashion industry at large - all launched exclusively in the Dubai Design District.

In partnership with ESMOD the space will give voice to a new generation of emerging talents and events for Studio members will ensure d3 is solidified as the home of Middle Eastern fashion.

d3 Edits

A limited edition collection of pieces designed by international designers, celebrities and architects the d3 Edits will be the NOT JUST A LABEL’s jewel in collaborative fashion retail for emerging designers selling at Dubai Design District.

With a panel of key industry figures coming together to appoint both design parties this will alter the perception of designer collaborations.

No longer is it about the monetary value of a collaboration, as the fashion world has become accustomed to but rather it will honour design integrity and respect the beauty and intricacy of the meeting of creative minds.

Concept

By matching NJAL designers with carefully selected established industry leaders d3 Edits will go where the conventional fashion collaboration does not.

• Each collection will only be available to purchased at d3.

• Each collection will contain a series of one of a kind designs ensuring these garments reflect the unique nature of the Dubai Design District.

• Each garment in the collection will contain a story book from the designers who crafted the garments.

• Each collaboration will be announced in a series of adapting marketing strategies including; social media campaigns, press events, industry dinners & via the wider NOT JUST A LABEL d3 initiative such as The NJAL d3 Edition.
