Duane P. Brady of Phoenix, Arizona went to be with his Heavenly Father on April 1, 2008. Duane had a long and distinguished career in the Valley of the Sun which included news director and on- air anchor/personal- ity with several of the local stations, com- munity relations for Samaritan Health Ser- vices, sheriff’s administrative assistant for Tom Agnos, heading special projects and programs for ADOT/MVD and was especially proud of his 25 years of service as a DPS reserve officer. Duane was actively involved and gave unselfishly of his time to many organizations and community groups throughout the valley including the American Cancer Society from 1969-1980, serving as Ari- zona Crusade chairman, president of the Phoenix divi- sion, and on the board of directors. He also served on the board of directors of the Phoenix Press Club. Duane is preceded in death by his parents Gladys and Joseph Brady as well as his sister Trudy. He is survived by his special soulmate Dennise Rowland, his brother Richard (Gail) Brady, his sister Debby Brady and fiancé Martin Weintraub, his nephews Matthew Brady and Michael Brady, his niece Trudy Aiello, 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews, and his faithful feathered friend Rambo who will dearly miss their conversations. Duane also leaves behind many friends, colleagues, and associates who will dearly miss his kindness, generosity, friendship, and humor. Duane P. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale of Sunday, April 6, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Donations in Duane’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association. Duane, we love you and will miss you very much!
