March began with a wonderful mission conference at the Hamburg Baptist Church in Glenville NC. The church had a considerable increase in their giving and the services had a great move ofthe Holy Ghost! ***Thank you Hamburg Baptist and Pastor Nathan Johnson for adding our family to your missionary family. *** March also found us at the Wahoo Baptist Church (Pastor Mark Stroud) for a mission Sunday; Concord Lake Baptist (Pastor Ralph Hager) for a GREAT REVIVAL; Woodland Christian School for Chapel; and two churches in the Chickamauga, GA area for a shared revival (New Beginnings Baptist, Pastor David Cordell and PilgrimWay Baptist, Pastor Bill O’Neal). What a great idea for two smaller churches to work together for a common cause. The last ofMarch and first ofApril found us in Honduras, Central America for about 12 days. I ampreparing a full report and will be sending that soon. Upon our return to the states, we were with Pastor Lloyd Stancil and Rosebud Baptist; Pastor TimMcCulley and Philadelphia Baptist; Pastor Bobby Stewart and Redemption Baptist; Grace Community Baptist and Pastor Ken Jennings, Pastor Doug Gaines and Berean Baptist and presently I amin the midst ofa mission/revival at East Carolina Baptist with Pastor Stanley Kelly in Goldsboro, NC. I amgrateful for fruitful meetings and much traveling safety! North Spoon Baptist Church (Pastor Billy Ray Bond); University Baptist Church (Pastor Gary Ledford) and Lake Howard Baptist Church (Pastor Tony Jackson) have recently partnered with us with monthly support!! THANK YOU! Monthly Support is our greatest need for it relieves so much of the burden and stress of the ministry when finances are not an issue. CAMP MATERIALS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE CAMP WEBSITE: www.powerof2youthcamp.com (Campers and Volunteers). One ofthe hardest things to do in the ministry is mention financial needs. So often there are SO MANY and you feel like that’s all you do – I had purposed not to elaborate on needs this year, but again I find I must. Vehicle Expense is a tremendous burden on our finances. Presently, we still owe $900 on the transmission replacement fromDecember. Now, this month I had another $1400 repair bill on the Suburban for brakes and rear-end bearings, etc. I know that next month we must replace the tires on the van ($700 estimate). Unfortunately all ofthis comes just before the summer – which is by far our busiest months for ministry, but our lowest months for financial gifts (because our time is devoted to camps and mission trips). In addition, we are getting estimates on a needed LP/Natural Gas conversion that we need to do at our home before winter…. A combination that our strained budget can hardly bear. Ifyou would like to help just mark your gift DUANE MOORE – VEHICLES. Please pray for this need. Finances will always be the great burden ofthe work ofGod!! We have some FRESH prayer cards with an updated picture. I will be enclosing 2 with the snail mail letters. Our supporting churches will receive a supply separately. If you need more, please email me and I’ll be glad to send what you need. *** Signing up Volunteers for July trips including camps in NC and TX and a scheduled event in Mexico – email me for details.
