WHAT IS A GAP YEAR ? Definition A gap year is a year out,
usually but not always, between secondary school and college
/university. Many people in Anglo-Saxon countries opt to defer
their admission to a university place and instead take an
opportunity to travel and get some work experience. Those students
and young adults who have no financial restrictions or difficulties
often choose volunteer work while others prefer paid work. Some
people who can afford it use their gap year to discover the world
on amazing travel adventures and sports challenges.
