Earn High School and College Credit
What isDual EnrollmentStudents attending a high school in Berkeley County may be enrolled in both high school and college at the same time, while receiving college and high school credit simultaneously.
Shepherd faculty will teach the courses on the main campus in Shepherdstown or at the Shepherd University Martinsburg Center on Edwin Miller Boulevard.
College credits will count toward a degree at Shepherd or will transfer to any accredited university.
Enroll in courses at the reduced rate of $84 per credit hour.

Eligibility
Students who wish to enroll in the program must:
complete their sophomore year or equivalent of total credits.
have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
meet the specific ACT or SAT score requirements if they wish to enroll in an English or math course:
How to Apply
Meet with your school counselor to determine whether courses will count as required or elective credits. Failure of college courses can affect graduation requirements.
Complete the high school dual enrollment application: www.shepherd.edu/admissions/high-school-students
Obtain a letter of recommendation from principal, school counselor, or homeschool evaluator.
Submit a signed approval form from your parent(s) or legal guardian(s). Request the form from your school counselor.
Obtain an official copy of high school transcript.
Submit all of the above by deadline to Shepherd University Office of Admissions.
