An international legal educationStudents of this programme take
complementary courses to obtain two
official academic qualifications upon
graduation:
•Courses in Common Law: These courses
are required to practice law in the UK
and are needed to obtain the Bachelor
in English and Civil Law degree from The
University of Law.
•Courses in Civil Law: These courses are
required to practice law in Spain and are
needed to obtain the Bachelor of Laws
from IE University.
A profound knowledge of the foundations of lawYou will develop the knowledge and
understanding of the fundamentals

the law of England and Wales, and also the

law, EU law, and the civil law tradition.
Law Unplugged Law Unplugged is a practice-focused
component of the Dual LL.B. program.
Each term you will be immersed in real-life
scenarios and projects through workshops
and visits to leading law firms.
*Following the LLM/LPC, you will need to complete a
two-year training contract with a firm of solicitors to
qualify as a solicitor.
During Year 4, you can opt to follow the Bar Professional
Training Course as an alternative to the Legal Practice
Course. This option enables you to qualify as a Barrister
in England and Wales. The Bar Professional Training
Course can be studied at The University of Law’s London
Bloomsbury or Birmingham centres.

IEU Labs and InternshipsIE Labs are IE University’s alternative to

for first and second year students seeking

Final Degree ProjectThe Final Degree Project is a major part of

You may begin the process as early as 2
years prior to the start of your university
studies. We recommend that you apply for
admission no later than 3-6 months prior
to the start of the academic year. Once
you have received a letter of admission,
provisional or definitive, you must then
make a € 1,500 nonrefundable deposit to
reserve your place in the Bachelor degree
of choice.
How to apply1. AppLIcATION
Fill out the online application form. Send
the required documentation and pay the
nonrefundable admission fee of € 120.
2. ADMISSIONS TEST
Take IE University’s admissions test or
SAT, ACT, CAS.
3. ThE INTERvIEW
You can be interviewed at the campus
in Segovia or Madrid, at one of IE’s
international offices or by telephone or
Skype.
4. ADMISSION AND ENROLLMENT
You will receive written notification of
your admission. Once admitted you
may apply for financial aid. Make the
nonrefundable place reservation of € 1,500
and the send required documentation for
enrollment.

options for funding the cost of our
bachelor degrees. Scholarships are
offered based on financial need and merit.
