UplinkUplink services (space segment can be

provided either by us or by the client)

are available across our entire uplink arc;

this includes services to single channel or

transport streams. It’s also available in

IPTV and Fibre connectivityIPTVIPTV is another form of content delivery

platform that we offer for broadcasters

to extend their reach in the UAE with local

ads. The IPTV platform will be the main

distribution platforms used to distribute

exclusive prime content in partnership with

other telecom providers.

Local fibre connectivityContent transfer services are available

with the fibre hub at our teleport. You can

feed SDI point-to-point over fibre with full

redundant paths to and from the teleport.

We also make file-based transfers over a

metropolitan area and provide broadcast

standard connection for all our clients.

Content Distribution Networks (CDN)

Web TVUtilising the best Content Distribution

Networks available worldwide, we will be

able to provide live events streaming, Video

On Demand both in HD and SD, point-to-

point delivery, monetisation of content and

value added services.

Broadcast services is looking at introducing

Catch Up TV in the region through its Content

Distribution Networks offering.

Mobile TV and Mobile TabletsMobile TV is one of the delivery platforms

that Broadcast services can push your

content on. All necessary signal manipulation

will be taken care of in Jebel Ali Teleport.

As other forms of Mobile TV exist,

audience can access it through various

Mobile Tablets.

International fibre connectivity We have a dedicated fibre link from Dubai

to London, and also from Dubai to Paris to

serve international and local broadcasters.

Our international network is based on the

protected FALCON cable in the Gulf and

FLAG International Submarine Optical

Networks that gives us end-to-end access to

more than 40 major cities across the world.

Moreover, we own capacities on SMWE 3

and SMWE 4cable systems. We can reach

over 60 major cities worldwide.

We’ve developed a revolutionary new approach to deliver all formats of video content online, offering unmatched scale, quality and a highly video viewing experience in HD, SD and eventually 3D, along with our partners.

Media Asset Management Through our partners, each and every

broadcaster who utilises our services will

have the opportunity to own an intelligent

digital media library that can be accessed

remotely through a secured web-based

Graphical User Interface (GUI). The GUI

will allow broadcasters to control, index,

transcode and transfer their content to their

bureaus globally or locally via our Content

Distribution Network.

The broadcasters will also have the possibility

of pushing their content on different access

platforms such as IPTV and Mobile TV.

Video transcoding

Transcoding is the direct digital-to-digital

conversion of one encoding scheme to another.

This is usually done in cases where a target

device does not support the format or has

limited storage capacity that mandates a reduced

file size, or to convert incompatible or obsolete

data to a better-supported or modern format.

Digital storageBroadcast services offers transmission

and archive storage in a secured protected

environment. Content on transmission and

archive storage can be accessed any time

allowing you to edit your playlist.

Studio facility Broadcast services provides studio facilities

through local partners.

OB Through our partners, we provide SD/HD

cables multi-camera OB trucks for major

outside broadcast events in the Middle East.

Content Management and Processing PlatformContent Management and Processing will enable broadcasters, production houses and post production houses to work on a seamless platform to process their content.
