3.Channelindicator

Operation:•Carefully,lifttheantennaeintotheverticalposition.•Connecttheincludedpowersupplytoasuitable240VAC~50HzmainsvoltageoutletandplugtheDCconnectorintotheDC.PowerInputontherearpanelofthereceiver(9VDC,1500mAminimum).
•Usingthesuppliedaudiocable,connecttheMIXOUTontherearpanelofthereceiverforbothaudiochannelstothemixer’saudiolineinput.ThereceiveralsofeaturesbalancedXLRoutputs,oneforeachchannel.
•Switchonthepowertothereceiver,checkingthedisplaybacklightilluminates.
•Openthebatterycompartmentonthetransmitter(Beltpack–slidedownwardsawayfromthebeltclip.Handheld-unscrewthelowerportion).Installtheappropriatebatteriesintothetransmitter,takingcaretoobservetheorientationandpolarity.Onlyusehighquality,alkalinetypebatteries.Refitthebatterycompartmentcovercarefully.
•Switchonthetransmitter,whenswitchedonthedisplayonthetransmitterwillilluminate.Ifthedisplaydoesilluminateorglowsdimly,thebatterywillrequirereplacement.
•Adjustthevolumeonthefrontpanelofthereceiverforeachofthechannels.
•FollowtheIRSyncOperationfullytoensurethetransmittersarelinkedcorrectlytothereceiverunit.Failuretofollowthisfullywillpreventthemicrophonesystemfromoperatingcorrectly.
•Channel(Frequency)Setup:PressandholdtheSETbuttontounlockthemenufunction.TheCHANNELmodewillflash,usetheUP/DOWNbuttonstoselectthedesiredchannel,thefrequencywillautomaticallychange.TheDTM800has20availablechannelswithinthe863-865Mhzrange,whereastheDTM600has80availablewithinthe606-614Mhzrange.Afterchangingthechannel,theIRsyncmustbecarriedouttoensurethetransmitterismatchedforcorrectoperation.

Operation continued:•FrequencyScanMode:Toallowtheusertoselectafrequencyfreefrominterference,thereceiverfeaturesafrequencyscanmode.Firstly,switchonanytransmittersfromothersystemsinthevicinity.PressandholdtheSETbuttontounlockthemenufunctionandthenpressSETuntilthedisplayshowsarectangleunderneaththefrequencyheader.UsetheUporDownkeystocommencescanning.Thereceiverwillstopscanningwhenitreachesthefirstavailablefrequency.Furtherscanningcanbetriggeredbypressingtheup/downbuttonagain.Afterchang-ingthefrequency,theIRsyncmustbecarriedouttoensurethetransmitterismatchedforcorrectoperation.
•TransmitterPowerMode:TheusermayselecttheRFtransmissionpowerfromthemenusystem.Whenusedincloseproximity,thetransmittersshouldbesettoLoorovergreaterdistances,settoHi.PressandholdtheSETbuttontounlockthemenufunction,thenpresstheSETbuttontwicemoreuntilthePOWselectionflashes.PresstheSETbuttontoconfirmselection.Afterchangingthepowersetting,theIRsyncmustbecarriedouttoensurethetransmitterismatchedforcorrectoperation.
• IRSyncOperation:Aftermakingchangestothesettingsonthereceiver,theIRSyncoperationshouldbecarriedouttoensurethesettingsarereplicatedintothetransmittertoensurecorrectoperation.Poweronboththetransmitterandreceiver,cyclethruthemenusystemonthereceiveruntilallsettingsarecorrect.PressandholdtheSETbuttontotriggertheIRSyncoperation.TheIRSyncindicatorwillshowtheradiatingsymbol,whiletheradiatingsymbolisflashing,directthedisplayontherelevanttrans-mittertowardstheIRTransceiver,thetransmitterwillthenchangetomatchthesettingsonthereceiver.Themicrophoneisnowreadyforuse.Note:ThebeltpacktransmitterIRTransceiverislocatedinsidethebatterycompartment.
