Need an idea for March? I created door tags that resemble a lion and a lamb that can be used with the saying, “March comes in like a Lion and goes out like a Lamb”. I made both the lamb and lion out of foam. First I cut out the lion’s mane, this will be the base, out of orange foam. Next I cut out and glued on a yellow rounded heart shape for the lion's face and added googley eyes and whiskers. I drew on his mouth, freckles, and nose with a black foam marker. I painted two clothespins yellow and glued them to the back of the lion’s mane. For the sheep, I cut out a wavy round shape out of white foam. I cut a sheep head out of black foam and added a piece of cotton ball on the very top of the head. I finished the sheep by adding googley eyes and black clothespins. They are somewhat time consuming but the residents loved them. I also clipped candy to the clothes pins and included little notes for each resident. Door Tag for March: In like a lion out like a lamb

Submitted by Jessica HaagMinot State University
