My role has been the development, management and delivery of higher education provision within the performing arts (Acting). Key Achievements:

• Building and fostering the growth of the programme from 12 students in 2001 to what is today an oversubscribed course that competes alongside BA programmes as a training of choice for undergraduates by virtue of its reputation.

• Inspiring and supporting undergraduates vocationally, academically and spiritually to achieve their life aims.

• Instilling a positive work ethic and 'can-do' attitude that has predicated the professional success of graduates.

• Leading and teaching by positive example. Head of Drama Admiral Lord Nelson School, Dundas Lane, Portsmouth, PO3 5 XT Sept 1999-Jan 2001 ALNS is an 11-16 Business and Enterprise Community college. I was employed as the Head of Drama and responsible for teaching across the curriculum from years 7 to 11 and for managing two members of staff who taught across the departments of English and Drama. I was also a Year 10 tutor and an assistant to the teacher responsible for work based learning. Key Achievements:

• Pastoral care and interactivity in the role of tutor. • Developing the subject area in terms of pedagogy and assessment • Creating a more structured format for teaching within the subject area to

include the study of practitioners at GCSE. • Presenting Brecht's 'The Good Person of Schzechuan' in an 'all-age' school

production for an audience of surprised but very proud and happy parents. Teacher of Drama & English Shaftesbury School, Salisbury Road, Shaftesbury, Dorset SP7 8ER Sept 1997-Sept 1999 Shaftesbury School is an 11-18 Voluntary Controlled school for approximately 1000 students. I was employed as teacher of Drama and English and responsible for teaching across the curriculum from years 9 to 13 in both subjects. I was also a Year 9/10 tutor and part of an additional year 11 pastoral/academic support programme for students with emotional difficulties. Key Achievements:

• Pastoral care and interactivity in the role of tutor • My contribution to morale on a week long, rainy extra-curricular
