    On Wednesday the Unite combinefor DSG meets in London. Tisis an important meeting both for

    DSG workers and for workers across thepublic sector.

    Te fightback at DSG has shown thatworkers are prepared to fight seriously fordecent pay.

    DSG have been faced with strikes oftwo days, four days and now ten days.

    Tey have seriously underestimated theresolve of Unite members. Tey thoughttheyd face a few days of strikes and thenit would all be over. Tey were wrong.

    Ten they thought they could wina return to work by using the bonuspayment.

    ResolveBut DSG members have shown theresolve to stick out for what theydeserve.

    Like every worker in Britain DSGworkers have faced real terms pay cutsfor years on end.

    Now is the time to stop the rot andfor DSG workers to start to catch up.

    Te solidarity shown by theworkforce is impress ive. Te pickets havebeen big despite the cold.

    Now is the time to plan how to takethe dispute forward. If DSG dont seereason then escalating the strike into

    the new year has to be the most sensibleoption.

    Unite is right behind this dispute.Everyone knows that a victory at DSGwould be a win for every worker in thepublic sector. Tis is a fight that can win.

    EscalateIf we stick together and escalate we canget a result for DSG workers and for

    every worker on Britain.On Tursday every DSG striker

    should get down to the picket lines, getthe feedback from the combine and makesure they are part of taking the fightforward.
