Junior Brown Bag Series

Juniors, once this spring and once in the fall of

senior year, you will be participating in DSA's

Brown Bag Series.

During these lunch sessions, you will be receiving

important information about the college applica-

tion process, scholarships, testing, and much more.

These meetings are held in small groups with your

counselors. In addition to a presentation, you will

receive a folder packed with vital information for

your senior year.

You have been assigned a cohort and date to report

to the counseling office for this mandatory event.

Bring a bag lunch with you to eat during the meet-

ing (hence the name Brown Bags). The meeting

begins at the start of lunch. You may not switch

dates with another person. Make plans well ahead

of time with your majors, teachers, friends, etc to

have this lunch time free. If you need another copy

of the schedule come to the counseling office to

pick one up.

sessions so that you can hear the exact same infor-

mation your students heard!

2020-2021 Choice of Studies During the spring of 2020, all returning DSA high school students will select their classes for the 2020-2021 school year. The timeline will be as follows:

February 10, 2020 All DSA students (not parents) will have their Infinite Campus password reset to prepare for the 20/21 Choice of Studies. The new login will be:

username: six digit ID number password: eight digit birthday

February 11, 2020 Counseling staff will meet with each grade level in the Concert Hall. At this time, students will be shown how to log into student portal and select their 2020-2021 class choices. All students will receive a hard copy of the directions as well as their Choice of Studies Sheet. It is important to know that these are only choices. If the classes do not fill, they will not be offered. The counselors will be looking at each student’s schedule making sure they are in the appropriate classes.

February 11, 2020 – February 28, 2020 From February 11 – February 28 at noon, Infinite Campus will be available for both parents and students to log in and select classes. Selections can be changed at any point during this 3 week window. If a family does not have internet access at home, please come use the Counseling Office computers

Colorado SAT

April 14, 2020 7:40 am Johnson and Wales Meet outside the Concert Hall at 7:40 am

Bring sharpened pencils, a manual pencil sharpener, calculator and a watch. Make sure the watch has no internet or picture-taking ability.

No technology may be accessed, used during the test or during breaks. Any technology seen will be taken. DSA will search pictures and texts to make sure nothing unethical was done during the test. An irregularity report will be sent to College Board. Your phone will be returned at the principal’s convenience – plan on a few days.
