Envelope Feeder

The DS-600i handles a wide range of envelopes from DL to C4 and everything in between.Insertion is always done wide-edge first (wallet-style) as this gives greater control and allows for thicker packs, up to 10mm.

Simply adjust the self-centering side guides and back stop for the type of envelopes to be run, load the hopper and select the appropriate job from the run screen.

All adjustments for the pack size and opening of the envelope are automated, so when the Start button is pressed the machine adjusts itself, drives the envelope stack to the feed wheels and begins inserting the job.

Flexible Tower Folder

Wide-Screen User InterfaceThe latest-generation IMOS software, on a 21” Touch-Screen controls every aspect of the DS-600i.

Once each job is created using the step-by-step wizard, it can be run at any time simply by recalling it fromthe menu. Folding, pack size and envelope adjustments are all made automatically whenever a job is chosen.

Password controls ensure operator, supervisor and service roles are distinguished for e�cient processing.

Direct access to the AIMS management system means the operator is always in touch with the workload to be completed, down to individual mailpiece detail.

Along with a simple conveyor, various postage meter options; DS-600i o�ers the ability to personalise every envelope.

Data provided as part of the OMS/AIMS Closed Loop integrity process is used to print individual recipient details, return addresses, marketing slogans or pre-paid indicia on each envelope.

Output Processing

Layouts and fonts in up to 600dpi can be designed to suit each application for a truly unique mailpiece. Large-format envelopes can even be rotated before printing to present in a portrait style.

Versatile Insert Feeders

Inserts from a 100mm voucher to a full A4 letter can be fed on the Versatile Insert Feeders. Thickness can be from a single 80gsmsheet through to a 6mm booklet.

The high-capacity hoppers hold up to 250mm of materials and can be reloaded on-the-fly while a job is running for maximum e�ciency.

Scanning feeders (optional) can be licensed to read OMR, 1D or 2D codes and can be used for either matching personalised inserts with a

prime document from the Tower Folder, or as the prime document itself for applications such as payslips or reports. When combined with AIMS and the Dynamic Envelope Printer this can o�er some truly unique processing and presentation options.

Tower Folders come in three options to suit individual needs. Each has a total capacity of 2,000 sheets but can be made up of combinations of 500 or 1,000 sheet hoppers depending on the volume and mixture of documents for insertion in each job.

Documents can be loaded in a Portrait style for folding, or Landscape for larger envelopes. Every tower can optional includes two scanners, allowing for face-up or face-down loading and can be licensed for OMR, 1D or 2D barcodes.

In combination with AIMS software, a complete Closed Loop verification of every mailpiece in a job can be carried out as each job is run.

Three fully-automated fold plates adjust to suit the envelope chosen with C, Z, V or double-parallel fold patterns. Up to 8 pages can be accumulated and folded together, while sets of more can be accumulated at the inserter head before insertion. For C4 envelopes, up to 72 sheets can be collated before insertion.
