The role of BI and analytics in organizations is increasing in importance, but the current technology options to deliver it are compromised. QlikView.Next delivers a brand new exploration and discovery experience – anywhere on any device – that empower users to create and consume powerful analytics and answer the next question. Providing greatly enhanced self-service, in a fully controlled and governed environment, is a major benefit of QlikView.Next.

Users get apps that feature a clean and modern experience, enhanced data visualizations, associative and comparative analysis, and the ability to create objects using drag-and-drop techniques. A new data storytelling capability allows users to organize and communicate insights, with commentary, and offers them the ability to move seamlessly to live analysis as needed. The complete QlikView experience is available in a single, unified, web-based client, with intelligent optimization for mobile devices and different form factors.

Application Development: A Best-of-Breed Approach

QlikView.Next brings a best-of-breed approach to building analytic apps, from the most simple to the most complex. For simple app development, QlikView.Next employs native functionality that gives developers a straightforward and intuitive experience that allows for rapid creation of apps from any device. Users can rapidly develop, publish, and share objects, and take advantage of a library of commonly-used dimensions and measures. They can develop apps in the cloud with server-based development. They can create extensions easily and add them to apps. And, users can seamlessly integrate data from multiple sources within QlikView or using QlikView Expressor.

For more complex application development, QlikView.Next comes with a complete set of open and deep API’s for integration with standard application development tools. Whether building analytic web apps that use the QlikView engine, integrating QlikView with existing solutions, or extending the functionality of QlikView, development capabilities are open and powerful.

Enterprise Class Deployment, Management, and Governance

IT organizations benefit from a true enterprise-class platform for business discovery. A fully Services Oriented Architecture and a redesigned management console – including ‘QlikView on QlikView’ monitoring capabilities – allows for administration of all QlikView functions from any device. Migration on Your Terms

QlikView.Next aims to preserve your existing investments in the QlikView platform. Existing QlikView 11 customers that are current on maintenance will have access to QlikView.Next without paying an additional license fee. Qlik offers migration on your terms, and we’ll support the customer in your transition to QlikView.Next. But, rest assured, there is no requirement to migrate to QlikView.Next now. In fact, Qlik will continue to support, maintain, and invest in QlikView 11 for at least three years after the general release of QlikView.Next.

When migrating, the majority of your existing investments in QlikView will be preserved in QlikView.Next. QlikView 11 files open immediately in QlikView.Next, and the entire data model and process for loading data are 100% compatible between the two platforms. This means that all work done on loading and staging data will transition seamlessly. And furthermore, because the same core engine persists in the two products, you can migrate powerful QlikView expressions from QlikView 11 into QlikView.Next measures.

Natural Analytics

Natural Analytics is the technology and design approach that makes the QlikView platform so powerful. It enables users to explore complex data, making and sharing discoveries using natural human abilities rather than artificially constructed techniques. Natural Analytics optimizes data structures, the analytical query engine, the interactive user experience, visualizations, and collaboration. It enables and encourages browsing and exploration, categorization, and other decision-making processes by tapping into the natural human ability to process complex information.
