Way Forward:
• Cost of logistics and transit transportation forlandlocked countries is > 15% than coastal countries
• UNESCAP needs to address capacityactivities for managerial, technical and
buildingawareness
issues regarding dry port taking in mind of itsimportance
• Should conduct national levelactivities also
• International agency should focus on bringing outtransshipment,guidelines related to
Registration of LOCODE, Locate dryport leasing,port on the
international shipping map, etc.
• Ratification of Intergovernmental Agreement on Dryports
