The Symposium will be hosted by the University of Stellenbosch. The town is situated along the banks of the Eerste River, about 50 kilometres east of Cape Town in the famous wine‐growing region. It is South Africa's oldest town
after Cape Town.

Stellenbosch became known as the City of Oaks, due to the large number of oak trees that grace its streets and
homesteads. The town is packed with many historic buildings dating back to the 1700's.
