laboratories or drug testing laboratories accredited by the DOH

• Shall perform 2 testing methods:a. Screening- determine the positive result and the type of drug usedb. Confirmatory- confirms the positive screening test.

• Drug certificates- valid for 1 year

The ff shall undergo drug testing:

• Applicants for driver’s license

• Applicants for firearm’s license and for permit to carry firearms outside of residence

• Students of secondary and tertiary schools

• Officers of public and private offices

The ff shall undergo drug testing:

• Officers of the military, police, and other law enforcement agencies

• All persons charged before the prosecutor’s office with a criminal offense

• All candidates for public office

Issuance of False Results

• Penalty: Imprisonment and fine• Revocation of license

Lab test on Offenders

• Screening test within 24 hrs if there is reasonable ground that the person is under the influence of dangerous drugs

• Challenged within 15 days through a confirmatory test

• Result is valid in a court of law

Prescription of Dangerous Drugs

• One original and two duplicate

• Original= pharmacist, one for the buyer, one for the person issuing the prescription

• Use of special forms exclusively issued by the DOH
