Worked from toe towards heel, work lace edge at the end.

Ch 4 on hook size 3 mm / C with Merino Extra Fine and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Insert a marker at

beg of round but do not finish every round with 1 sl st, just work in the round to make the beg and end of

    round less visible.

    ROUND 1: 8 sc in ch-ring.

ROUND 2: * 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the rest of the round = 12 sc.

ROUND 3: * 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the rest of the round = 18 sc.

ROUND 4: * 1 sc in each of the first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the rest of the round = 24 sc.ROUND 5: * 1 sc in each of the first 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the rest of the round = 30 sc.

ROUND 6: * 1 sc in each of the first 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the rest of the round = 36 sc.

ROUND 7: * 1 sc in each of the first 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the rest of the round = 42 sc.

ROUND 8: 1 sc in every sc - at the same time inc 4-6-8 sts evenly on round = 46-48-50 sc.

Continue working in the round with 1 sc in every sc until piece measures 7-8-9 cm / 2 3/4"-3"-3".

Now divide for opening mid on top of foot as follows: Work until 4-6-6 sc remain on round, turn with ch 1,

skip first sc and work 1 sc in each of the next 40-40-42 sc. * Turn with 1 ch and work 1 sc in every sc *,

repeat from *-* until entire piece measures approx. 20-22-25 cm / 8"-8 3/4"-9 3/4" (the slipper will be

stretched when worn), cut the thread and sew tog edge to edge mid back of heel.

    LACE EDGE:

Start mid back from inside of slipper.

    ROUND 1: 1 sc, * skip approx. 1.5 cm / '', work as follows in next st: 1 tr, ch 1, 1 tr, ch 3, 1 tr, 1 ch and 1

tr, skip 1.5 cm / '' and work 1 sc in next st *, repeat from *-* around the entire slipper, skip a little less

than 1.5 cm / '' mid front to avoid a tight lace edge when it is folded over the slipper, finish round with 1

sl st in first sc instead of last sc.

    ROUND 2: ch 3, * in 3-ch-space from previous round work: 1 tr, ch 1, 1 tr, ch 1, 1 tr, ch 3, 1 tr, ch 1, 1 tr,

1 ch and 1 tr, then 1 dc in sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of

    round.

ROUND 3: Work as 2nd round, cut and fasten the thread.

Crochet another slipper the same way.

Steam iron the slippers lightly so that the lace edge lies neatly around the edge of opening.
