FIRST EUROPEAN COUNCIL meeting after LISBON TREATY incorporated Common Security and Defence policy and created the European External Action Service with discussion on security and defence: focus on capabilities and strong European Defence Technological and Industrial Base (EDTIB) 4-year training technology demonstrator that aims to link nine European MALE RPAS training schools with a generic PC. The system will allow direct communications between different sites and enable exercises between them. 7 MS group either have MALE RPAS capability or intend to get it within a 5-10 year period. It is based on a Lol Large Mil RPAS signed in 2014 AW: RPAS AW regulatory framework = development of a harmonised set of airworthiness requirements adapted to RPAS. Harmonisation Framework Alignment with civil roadmap. Research & Technology MID-Air Collision Avoidance System (MIDCAS) Enhanced RPAS Automation (ERA) Command, Control and Communications (C3) – DESIRE 2 Remote Pilot Stations Standardisation TRAWA: Remain Well Clear (2016-2018)
