Muritai means ‘seabreeze’ in Maori, which is very fi tting for this beautiful spot. This romantic location is situated on top of the sand dunes, looking along the front of our Beachfront Villas and across the sparkling ocean towards Mount Maunganui. A stairway leads down to the beach where you can relax and explore locations for photos while your guests enjoy champagne and the magnifi cent views.


Muritai Ridge – 150 guests maximum

Terms + Conditions.Please fi nd all the information below pertaining to making a reservation with us for your wedding ceremony and accommodation. By fi lling out the booking enquiry form at the end of this package, we can provide you with a comprehensive quote for your ceremony & accommodation.

ACCOMMODATION & CEREMONY LOCATIONSIf you hold your wedding ceremony on-site with us, you are required to reserve a minimum number of units that surround that location. The booking for this accommodation is made under your name, however we do provide you with a ‘rooming list’ to fi ll out prior to your arrival and a deposit is required to secure the reservation. The balance of fees is to be made in one lump sum 14 days prior to arrival.Wedding guests that also wish to stay on-site at the Resort must book separately under their own name. Details are provided below about what information is best to supply your guests with.Please note: For the purpose of this document, any reference to “your reservation” means the reservation you have made under your name which includes the ceremony location & minimum accommodation units.

DEPOSIT POLICYACCOMMODATION AND CEREMONY LOCATION: A deposit of 50% is required to secure your reservation.HIRE EQUIPMENT: Deposits paid are confi rmation of a booking and are non refundable if a booking is cancelled.

BOND POLICY

ACCOMMODATION AND CEREMONY LOCATION & VENUE HIRE: A separate bond payment of $1000 is required to cover behaviour and any damage or extra cleaning. The bond will be held until all rooms, hire equipment & ‘The Deck’ have been checked. If there is no damage or extra cleaning required, the bond will be refunded in full. In the event of damage or extra cleaning, the relevant amount will be deducted and the balance refunded. A Damage & Behaviour Bond Form will be sent to you after confi rming your reservation and the bond is payable 14 days prior to your arrival.

HIRE EQUIPMENT: A bond is required on all items hired. Bond amount will be determined at time of booking. A cleaning charge will be incurred if equipment is returned dirty. All goods damaged or missing will be charged for. These are items that are hired through separate hire company.

PAYMENT POLICYBalance of fees for your Accommodation, Ceremony Location and Hire Equipment is due 14 days prior to arrival in one lump sum.

CANCELLATION POLICYAccommodation & Ceremony Location

ALTERATIONS OR AMENDMENTS:• Alterations or amendments made to all or part of your reservation will incur a $20

administration fee per unit. Management reserve the right to cancel a reservation if the alteration reduces the reservation to below minimum stay requirements and cancellation penalties will apply.

• 14 days prior to arrival, once the reservation has been paid in full, no refunds will be given for any alterations or amendments that reduce the number of guests or nights booked below the amount already paid for.

CANCELLATIONS IN FULL:• Cancellations in full outside of 90 days of arrival incurs a cancellation fee charge of 10%

of the total booking amount.

• Cancellations in full within 90 days of arrival incurs a cancellation fee charge of 25% of the total booking amount.

• Cancellations within 30 days of arrival result in the loss of full deposits paid

• Cancellations to those individual units within your reservation within 14 days of arrival will incur a cancellation charge equal to one nights accommodation per room cancelled.

• Cancellations to individual units that are a minimum requirement pertaining to your event location are not possible.

• Please note that no refunds will be given for any accommodation units once the group has checked in.

Hire Equipment

• Cancellations at any time result in the loss of deposit paid on Hire Equipment.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE:• Check in time is no earlier than 2pm. Reception closes at 7pm. Please advise

approximate time of arrival for all Villas.

• Check out time is by 10am.

MINIMUM STAYSFor all guests, there is a 2 night minimum stay requirement on all weekends and 3 nights on Long Weekends and Public Holidays.

ACCOMMODATION FOR WEDDING GUESTSAside from the accommodation that you are required to book as part of the ceremony package, all wedding guests are required to book their accommodation individually. We can provide you with a supply of Resort brochures or relevant text should you wish to provide this information for your guests.

PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to take group or block bookings for your guests.All bookings must be made under the name of the person(s) actually occupying the unit. Accounts are to be paid by each individual. Your wedding guests staying with us will be asked to pay a deposit of 1 nights stay within 7 days of making their reservation, this will secure the booking. Please be aware that seasonal tarrifs apply. Reservations terms & conditions are available online at www.papamoabeach.co.nz.

VEHICLE ACCESS TO THE RESORTVehicle access to the Resort is limited to registered guests vehicles only. Arrangements can be made for temporary access & parking for trades-people such as hairdressers, make-up artists, photographers etc upon confi rmation of your reservation, we will provide you with a form for those trades-people prior to your arrival. However, at any time during your stay please do not ask for visitors to be let through the security gates as refusal often off ends.

Gate PIN numbers are allocated upon arrival for registered guests. These are only to be used for the registered vehicle and this is explained upon arrival at Reception. If that system is abused, you will fi nd that vehicles are locked either in or out of the Resort and a $30 fee will be charged to rectify the problem. Should this happen outside of offi ce hours, the vehicle/s will have to be parked outside at the owner’s risk.

GROUP GATHERINGS:Guests staying at the Resort may like to get together at some stage for a BBQ or similar. If you let us know at Reception well in advance, we can arrange to have BBQ’s and tables taken to the unit(s). Please be aware that due to the nature of our business, we cannot allow any form of party to be held on the premises. If you are considering some form of gathering please check with Reception or our Wedding Coordinator before planning it on our premises.

CLEANING PRIOR TO DEPARTURE:As you will be mingling between accommodation units, we ask that you attend to the following prior to your departure:

• Leave all accommodation units clean & tidy• Ensure that all unit crockery, cutlery, utensils and the like are put away in the units

they belong to.

• Please check you haven’t accidently taken any of our equipment home.

NOISE & STEREOS :• Stereos are not permitted.• No noise between 10pm and 7am. This is strictly enforced to ensure all guests enjoy

their stay.• Please be sure to note on the booking enquiry form whether you would like some

form of music or sound system for the ceremony.

SUPERVISION OF GROUP MEMBERS:• Supervision of group members and their behaviour is the responsibility of the group/

wedding organisers not the Resort staff .• Group members are to conduct themselves responsibly and with consideration to

other guests at all times.• Noise is to be kept to a minimum.• No smoking or drinking in any communal buildings or around the facilities block.
