Sunny Varkey

Our Chairman Sunny Varkey, a visionary education entrepreneur, envisages to put quality education within the reach of every learner. In his own words, “Every child has the potential to be great, but few are given the opportunity to explore their true capabilities. Quality education is a basic human right and the key to unlocking the greatness that lies in every child.”

He believes that we must lift education standards worldwide. In his ongoing mission to effect qualitative change in society, his philanthropic commitments have helped improve the lives of thousands. Dr. Farooq Ahmad Wasil

With over 33 years of contribution in the field of education, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Wasil, a Doctorate specializing in Education, was honored with the prestigious National Teacher Award, by the Ministry of Human Resources, receiving the award from the then President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in September 2005.

He says, “Education has always been the foundation and hallmark of a great civilization. Children are our future and provision of sound education is an assurance of a legacy for a peaceful and harmonious world. Pre PrimaryEarly year Program (Nursery, LKG & UKG): In the Pre-primary classes, teachers emphasis on the play-way method. How you can join us…

Documents RequiredAt the time of registration, the following documents are to be submitted to the Administrative Office.• Duly filled in and signed Registration Form: latest Passport size color photographs of the child and parent, Aadhar card of child and parent and a

photocopy of the child’s Birth Certificate. Note: Registration fee once paid is not refundable. Registration does not guarantee admission. Incomplete / invalid forms will be rejected.

Admission ProcessApplications are offered on first-come-first-serve basis. On being offered a seat, parents will be given two weeks of time to pay the prescribed fee to secure the same. Parents further need to fill and submit few forms and declarations that would be given along with admissions acceptance letter.

Admission is granted on the basis of child and parent interaction. Meritorious students from good Indian schools having a good academic record may be granted direct admission on providing the latest certified mark sheets from their present schools.

InterviewA formal interview will be conducted by the Principal to know the child’s educational development, use of language, social skills, academic enthusiasm and extra-curricular interests. The aim of the interview is to find out what the student knows, understands and enjoys.

Inter-Branch TransfersStudents may avail transfer from one branch of DIS to another. Transfer will be accepted, subject to availability of seat(s) and the discretion of the Management.

Registration & AdmissionParents may register at any time during the year for admission in the current year and will be interviewed whenever there is a vacancy.

Parent PortalThe Parent portal application allows the parents as well as the school to stay updated on the student activities, attendance, academics, progress reports, fee and other necessary details to be tracked. Rules for Students1. Come to school on time and in neat and complete uniform.2. Display ID card all the time while in the school campus.3. Respect Principal, teachers and other elders in campus.4. Participate in all activities as organized by the school from time to time.5. Do not leave the school for any reason without prior information.6. Maintain discipline while in school campus.

Rules for Parents1. Visit school as and when required.2. Attend Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM)3. Participate in school counselling sessions4. Participate in the specified events as notified by the school management.5. Seek prior appointment to meet the Principal / teacher.6. School fee and other dues must be paid by the stipulated date in each term.7. Check Diary/email & parent portal on a regular basis to track students’ progress and notifications.8. Send a note or application if the student is absent from school for any reason.

We expect students to behave in a responsible manner, accepting the rights of others to be physically safe, emotionally secure and to pursue their own learning.
