First and foremost, I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to complete all the tasks contain inside LGA3043E coursework question. Allow me to show my greatest appreciation to our respected TESL lecturers from the Language Department. Their presence, in guiding everyone throughout the tasks had contributed a lot in helping us to execute our play smoothly. Getting back on my reflection, before we perform our play we had to undergo a few preliminary process. Such as, the process of selecting, process of adapting and last but not least process of performing. It is essential and vital for us to be fully prepared before performing our play. All the important aspects need to be considered before we could perform the play. This is to prevent any unwanted incidents to happen and befall on us. It took us quite a while to pick the most suitable and appropriate script to be used for our group play. In the end we had agreed upon, using Nurul Syafiqah's script, entitled Story Untold" for our play. The script is the most important aspect of the project. The script is the blueprint or template of the play. Like a blueprint for a physical construction, such as a house or multiple level building, if its faulty the building will fail. It is impossible to envision a play without a script, as the script is the base for what appears onstage.

We had chosen Story Untold" script to be our group act mainly because, it contain most of the important aspects that are required and listed for, what a good script should have. It is a very wise decision for me because we really need to consider all the aspects before performing. It will make our planning and preparation of the play much easier. In our script, Nurul Syafiqah decided to put the spotlight on the villains instead. We adapted the villains from Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and The Little Mermaids to be the starring roles instead of portraying the usual roles to take the center stage.

In order to make everyone in our group understand our script, we used the movie, "Maleficent" as an example because the inspiration for the script came from that particular movie. Now, we had entered the adapting process.

During this stage, we need to check again the flow of the play according to the script. There might be some scene that we need to adapt and change so that actors will be more comfortable in performing. Since our play is adapted from an three fairy tales, our targeted audience might not understand the major moral idea thus it is up to the narrator to make the audience understand at the beginning of our play by posing questions and have the audience to intrigued by what we were performing so that they will feel more relatable towards the story and will develop understandings towards the play and at the same time re-evaluate their impression on the characters they have known from their childhood.

During our group performance on the stage, we had the time of our life, and the audience seems to love it. We included a bit of humour as we could through the actors' and actresses gestures, expressions and make-up in our play to make it more lively and interesting and also to gain their attention. I can definitely see everyone putting on a great effort to make our play go on without a hitch.

The play went smoothly but there are still some problems we had encountered while performing, mainly because of our own mistakes and slight technical problems with the smoke machine and actors' and actresses' microphone. Nevertheless, we manage to complete the play magnificently.

From the beginning until the end of this task, I have observed and identified some strengths and weaknesses. For strengths, I can definitely see the teamwork and synergy from every member of our group. Everyone was dedicated and committed in carrying out their responsibilities which made it easy for our director, Dephnie Dewi, to handle us. Our work-style was carefree and everyone had fun in the process. One of the committee that I was most impressed with would definitely be the props, costumes and hairstyle committee because their work was detailed and thorough. The next committee that deserves a round of applause is the technical committee as they meticulously picked the right soundtrack and sound effects, and not forgetting how perfect the lighting of the stage was done. This overall contributed to the smooth transition flow of the scenes during our play.

However, there are also some weaknesses that I noticed. First, it was the insufficient number of microphones provided by hall that we used for our play. We were worried the actors' and actresses' voice projection would not be amplified. We managed to overcome this problem when Nurul Amirah managed to borrow a few more microphones from a group of helpful teachers. The next weakness would probably be the lack of practice time as everyone was busy with their other duties. Since we couldn't practice during daytime, we decided to carry out our practice at night and during weekends when everyone was available. Other than that, the other weaknesses are just minor problems such as the limited space at the backstage as the space was cramped with the other group that was also preparing for their turn, and the facilities like the lighting was unsuitable because it would be better if there was overhead lights and spotlights.

At the end of the day, I had gained so many inputs while completing this assignment. I had learned many useful acting skills and how to plan and prepare a play and also performing it on stage. Working in a big group had taught me to be more cooperative and to contribute all my efforts and give full commitment when working as a group, to achieve great results and outcome. I learned how to be more patience and selfless, put the group needs before me in order to complete the objective of the assignment. All of this experience will benefit me in the near future and I surely will cherish all the moments we shared together in completing this assignment.

For this play, I carried the role as a narrator. I volunteered for this role because I felt I would do it better than going on-stage. In the future if I want to continue carrying the role as the narrator as I had the proper knowledge that I had gain from my experience in completing this assignment. However, I do believe that some improvements still need to be made in order to be successful in future performances.

All in all, I take all the comments positively and take it as the chance for me to improve myself if I were to teach primary school pupils in future. Personally, I must say that I should be thankful to those who give their full cooperation and commitment when our group was doing the play. I do gained lots of new and useful knowledge in learning this subject. As a future teacher, I hope that I will be able to produce pupils who are knowledgeable and competent, who possess high moral standards and who are responsible and capable of achieving high level of personal well-being as well as being able to contribute to the harmony and betterment of the family, the society and the nation at large learning. In other words, the content of knowledge is not an end in itself but a means to an end.
