Materials• 18-gauge colored wire

• 26-gauge colored wire

• 110 assorted

3mm–4mm beads

Tools• Basic Tool Kit

• Crochet needle, size B/1

(2.25mm)

Instructions

1 Pre-string all of the beads (in a

random pattern) directly onto your

spool of 26-gauge wire (a).

2 Make a loop in the wire next to

the last bead. Insert the crochet

hook and make the first link of a

chain stitch (Techniques, p. 10) (b).

3 Continue with the chain,

incorporating a bead in each link,

until you have a 41⁄2" segment (c).

4 Make two stitches in your chain

without beads (d). Pull up a bead

and continue for 4½" more.

5 Repeat steps 2 and 3 two more

times so you have four segments.

6 Cut a 6" piece of 18-gauge

wire. Loop the wire through the

section of the un-beaded links of

chain (e).

7 Wrap the tail around the wire

stem, making a wrapped loop

(Techniques, p. 11) (f).

8 String a few beads on the

wire (g).

9 Fold the remaining wire in

half (h).

10 Make a set of wraps with the tail

of the wire (i).

11 Make a tight pinch at the folded

end of the wires (j).

12 Shape the remaining wire into a

hook (k).

13 Pull the loose ends of the wires

together on the opposite end of

the bracelet and string a few beads

over them.

14 Cut about 18" of 18-gauge wire

off of your coil.

15 Use roundnose pliers and make

a loop in the center of the wire.

16 Thread the remaining 26-gauge

wire through the loop (l).

17 Wrap it around the loop,

securing the crochet beads to the

loop made in 18-gauge wire.

18 Make a toggle ring and attach it

to the end of the bracelet

(Techniques, p. 14) (m).
