What problems we’ve faced1, Two tasks increase in total of project

oA number of bugs was discovered in the processing modeling

Task 15 “Processing Modeling Adjustments” has been added since week 6

What problems we’ve faced2, Employee absence

In week 3:oKarim (senior web designer): a terrible flue oUrs (senior software developer): a third son was bornIn week 4:oYvone (senior software developer): a terrible hay feverIn week 11:oNoemy (senior software developer): a sick health certificate

3, Process programming length increase

o Started at week 5, finished at week 11

o According to the fitters, the present system was incompatible with a particular format of graphic plans

What were the causes2, User - Interface Programming

o There were some inconsistencies between the developed software and professional practices

o Modifications had been made, these corrections slowed down the user - interface programming

What were the solutionsAnalysis of the assets

1. What is manageable Resources Cost Time

2. What and how should we manage Analysis of the situation

(Time VS Resources VS Cost) Adaptation Anticipation Organization Patience

Page 8: DRAFT1-US172Y-PMC (Rabah Hamiane)-Team 6

What were the solutionsResources Assign the right resource at the

right moment Optimize resources : no resource

works for two or more tasks in the same period

Cost Good margin in the budget at

completion Cost control – make the best use

of the EVM When can we expense, when

should we not

Schedule Assign more resources to

reduce the delay Make some resources work as

soon as possible to catch up with time

Use upgraded resources to fasten some critical tasks

More actions Use of time cards

o Make regular briefs, bring team together remaining goals, quality issues and deadlines

Privilege additional tasks

What lessons we’ve learned in this game/in this course

What is the strategy? Importance of Critical margin PDCA Time management

Charge and delay

Page 10: DRAFT1-US172Y-PMC (Rabah Hamiane)-Team 6

What lessons we’ve learned in this game/in this course

Project management is• Decision taking• Problem appearing• Dealing with time and stress

Require constant thinking Require patience anyway

• Exciting and interesting

Nothing is ever won in advance Effectively, the “wait and see” cannot be permitted
