Review of 6/10/10 Meeting Minutes Goodman first, Henderson second motion to pass the meeting minutes. Motion Passed. 2. Introductions and updates from everyone Henderson announced birth of baby last week. Mentioned a second grade teacher has asked for a Project Wet presentation. Tanner was present. Atkins is trying to finish Edgewood annual report. Patel introduced herself and will be attending. Martin is working on annual report. Schmidt has received 3 Rule 5 plan submittals in last 2 weeks, which is an increase. Manship introduced himself and said that 8 communities are going to be inspected or surveyed for the MS4 program. 3. Upper White River Watershed Alliance (Goodman) Jill Hoffmann was unable to attend. 4. MOU Renewal Discussion – Atkins mark up A discussion regarding the money issues of the MOU was had. It was decided that we would use the 2000 census until the 2010 is official. We discussed an annual budget with a $10,000 total. Atkins to work on the language. 5. 2010 Madison County Fair – After Actions Review a. Booth Reservations (Goodman) b. Giveaways (Henderson) c. Sign-up for time slots (Henderson) d. Incorporate Public Outreach Message (Henderson) e. Booth set up and take down (Hammell) The 6 booths are reserved for next year. Space issues were a lot better. Henderson passed out summaries of materials. We did incorporate the public outreach message. Set up and take down went well. Workers liked the display toward the front. 3rd Quarter 2010 Meeting September 2, 2010

1. Review of 6/10/10 Meeting Minutes

Goodman first, Henderson second motion to pass the meeting minutes. Motion Passed. 2. Introductions and updates from everyone

Henderson announced birth of baby last week. Mentioned a second grade teacher has asked for a Project Wet presentation. Tanner was present. Atkins is trying to finish Edgewood annual report. Goodman called Susan Eichorn who said that when she hears from the schools, she will let Goodman know. Goodman will let us know if there are outreach opportunities. Goodman will contact Liberty Christian School, St. Mary’s Catholic school, and the military academy. Henderson talked to Park Place daycare at AU. During the school year, curriculum is set and the summer is more relaxed. They are willing to consider for next summer. Henderson to follow up. Henderson will check to see if the materials are posted on the website. DeLury sent an email out to homeschool groups, no response. DeLury to try again since the school year is back in session. WRW received a request from Tonya Boynton to present Project Wet in her second grade class in Pendleton. DeLury to follow up. WRW is working on a education committee.

7. MS4 Commercials-Henderson

A minute long commercial is $1000 at Covenant Productions (AU). Henderson says we can provide them a storyline. Martin to get Andy Ebbert to explain pricing to run commercials. We could put it on YouTube. Schmidt to take video at WRW September 11, 2010 event. All are assigned to email ideas to Henderson so he can work on script. Henderson will check with Covenant Productions to see if animation is a possibility. Be ready to vote on spending $1000 to $2000 on the December meeting.

8. Booth

a. Wal-Mart (DeLury) DeLury can ask if we can take the booth to Wal-Mart. They do some outreach and are willing to do some water quality outreach.

b. List of Festivals (Manship) The list is attached to the minutes. Manship suggests Small Town or Frankton festivals.

9. Reports back from attendance at water quality citizen group meetings

• Manship attended Volunteer Stream Monitoring July 27-29, 2010. • Manship attended Drainage 201 on August 25, 2010. • Goodman Green Site Workshop in Hamilton County Fairgrounds July 29, 2010 – more

on rain gardens. INAFSM Storm Water Inspectors Workshop on August 18, 2010. • Schmidt attended on 9/1/10 hosted by MC Soil and Water with Tipton and Hamilton

County Soils Quality Workshop for 65 farmers. • This message will be printed on all September 2010 utility bills and sent to Anderson’s

35,000 customers to help preserve and protect storm water quality. STAY ON TOP OF EVERY DROP – KNOW WHERE IT FLOWS. GO TO HTTP://WWW.MCSTORMWATER.ORG AND JOIN OUR COMMUNITY EFFORT TO IMPROVE AND PRESERVE STORM WATER QUALITY.

10. Annual Report updates

If communities need inspection information from Schmidt, let him soon. 11. Contractor Outreach – Assign duties (Atkins)

There is a general concern regarding concrete washout. Anderson has a video. Assigned tasks.

12. Any other requests for discussion

There is WRW cleanup is September 11th. All are invited. Wal-mart in addition to other sponsors. Only 60 canoes this year. MCSWQP is invited to put information in the handouts. Henderson is to give WRW giveaways. DeLury will give us a count of what you pass out. At 4:00 on September 10 there will be a meeting at John Johnsons to set up. September 10 from 4-5pm MCSWQP first rain barrel workshop at the Recycling Center. Henderson was approached by a local business getting ready to do site work, and they want to install a rain garden. They have asked if the partnership would be interested in partnering with them at 5th and Jackson. Goodman has a source for the plants, and Anderson may be willing to donate some plants.

13. Schedule next quarterly meeting
