Agenda item: 1. This regional meeting will review the existing experience of using green growth indicators in a national context, and discuss how such indicators could be adapted to the specifics of the Eastern Partnership countries and Central Asia. It will bring together experts from the ministries of environment and economy, as well as statistics agencies. Other invitees include representatives of the NGO community and key international partners. ACTION REQUIRED: For discussion and adoption.

Mr. Martin Frélich (First Deputy Minister of the Environment of the Czech Republic) will welcome delegates and open the meeting. Ms. Angela Bularga (OECD Secretariat) will introduce the meeting objectives, agenda and supporting documentation. ACTION REQUIRED: The participants are invited:
• to discuss and adopt the draft agenda.

Ms. Liubov TEN (Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Anti-Monopoly Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic) will present progress and lessons learned from the pilot testing of the OECD green growth indicators in Kyrgyzstan conducted jointly by the OECD secretariat and the UNDP-UNEP Poverty and Environment Initiative (PEI). Ms. Nurzhan TOKTOGULOVA (expert, UNDP-UNEP PEI Kyrgyzstan) will be invited to complement this presentation. ACTION REQUIRED: The participants are invited:

Mr. Žiga Žarnić (OECD Secretariat) will kick-off the discussion by introduction the OECD work on headline indicators. This will be followed by 2-3 panel interventions and a general discussion of the demand and applicability of headline indicators in the Eastern Partnership and Central Asia countries. ACTION REQUIRED: The participants are invited:
• to take note of the presentation and pose questions; • to discuss demand and constraints for using headline indicators in the Eastern
Partnership and Central Asia countries.
7. 10:30 – 11:30 Possible future work
i. Testing green growth indicators at the national level

Ms. Angela Bularga (OECD Secretariat) will briefly introduce OECD plans to launch new pilot projects in several Eastern Partnership countries and will open the floor for discussing their organisation. This will be followed by a general discussion. Countries will be invited to signal their interest in hosting such projects. ACTION REQUIRED: The participants are invited:
• to signal interest in participating in pilot projects; • to provide feedback on possible constrains of the pilot projects implementation

Ms. Angela Bularga (OECD Secretariat) will introduce the proposed outline for a Policy Reform Handbook on green growth indicators in the Eastern Partnership and Central Asia countries. This presentation will provide background for a discussion on methodological support needs in relation to the monitoring of progress towards green growth. ACTION REQUIRED: The participants are invited:
• to take note of the presentation and pose questions; • to provide feedback on the proposed outline.

Oral reports
Representatives of international partners will be invited to inform countries of the work that is related to green growth measurement, and from which the project can draw upon or contribute to. In particular, the following speakers will take the floor:
• Ms. Adriana Gheorghe (European Environmental Agency); • Mr. Vladislav Bizek (Consultant to the UNECE Secretariat); • Ms. Rie Tsutsumi (UNEP).
ACTION REQUIRED: The participants are invited:
• to take note of the presentation and pose questions; • to share information on other relevant processes; • to advise the OECD secretariat on most effective ways of interaction with other
international and non-governmental partners.
8. 15:45 – 16:30 Regular monitoring of green growth: Statistical agencies perspective

This issue will be addressed by the following speakers:
• Ms. Iva Ritschelová (President of the Czech Statistical Office); • Mr. Dzhanbulat Baizhumanov (First Deputy Chairman of the National Statistical

9. 16:30 – 17:00 Follow up and closing remarks Oral reports Under this agenda item, delegates will be invited to raise any other questions pertinent to the meeting’s subject. In order to make an assessment of the quality and effectiveness of this meeting, the OECD secretariat will invite delegates to fill in and return an evaluation questionnaire. At the end of the meeting, Ms. Klara Wajdová, Director of International Relations Department at the Czech Ministry of the Environment and Ms. Angela Bularga (OECD Secretariat) will make closing remarks.
