2nd Annual Power & Water Maintainance 2015

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW Managing aging assets is one of the most critical issues faced by utilities. Companies are struggling with competing priorities, constrained resources and the difficulty of determining which projects, maintenance or asset replacement tasks are really worthwhile and when. Good asset management decision making requires a clear understanding of the objectives, a consistent and disciplined process, ability to identify relevant facts and correctly evaluating options and alternatives for their benefits, cost, risks and asset life cycle impact. Following the success of last year’s conference, 2nd Annual Power & Water Maintenance 2015 will focus on the importance of heightened transmission & distribution maintenance to ensure the integrity of the current infrastructure. It will deliver strategies to enhance asset lifecycle while investing in capital upgrades and guaranteeing safe operations.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Power & Water Maintenance Conference will bring together CEOs, Vice Presidents, Directors and Managers from

• Asset Lifecycle Management • Emergency Repair Section • Electricity Operation and Maintenance • Reliability and Maintenance • Production Department • Health, Safety and Environment • Assets Integrity • Operations • Water Projects and Maintenance

WHY YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO MISS THIS CONFERENCE!!

• Study the latest updates in ISO 5502 2015, the implementation progress so far around the GCC, and review where the gaps are

Workshop A: 9:00 -14:00 “Power & Water Utilities: A Roadmap for Maximizing Work and Asset Value for Utilities”

Determining whether to replace or repair an asset requires an understanding of its condition and its importance to the organization. This understanding is best gained by aggregating all asset data; including work history and condition into a single system; balancing the importance of one factor versus another; and updating any condition changes as they occur. Armed with this data in real time, the utility has a more reliable view of asset health and can make more meaningful investments and work decisions on how to best balance compliance, reliability, safety and risk. Many utilities face the grim reality of having to do more work with the same or fewer resources and tighter budgets. Often, the outcome is that both the quality and quantity of work is reduced due to a traditional orientation toward tasks. The solution to this challenge maybe to increase the amount of proactive work done, thereby eliminating future tasks and preventing small maintenance problems from growing into larger, costlier ones. But how do you move from reactive to proactive work? This interactive workshop will cover this issue and many other maintenance planning areas:

Areas to be covered: • All asset types including fixed, fleet, distribution, linear, and more • Integrated processes across asset, work, and supply chain management • Detailed lifecycle information, tracking, and control • Preventive and predictive work using multiple maintenance approaches • Planning and scheduling work orders with appropriate material and labor resources

Benefits of attending:

• Understand how to yield better performance and reliability of your asset portfolio at reduced cost • Learn how to enhance your organization’s ability to plan for preventive maintenance • Optimising maintenance work and the correction of failures • How to analyse data to decide whether to repair, upgrade, or replace assets
