Many phone numbers we have in our system are outdated and not working. It is very important for the school to have current phone numbers in case of emergencies. Thank you!
If your child has come home with clothes that were from the nurse, please wash them and return them. She has no extra clothes in her office if a student is in need of a change of clothes. Thank you!
PrePrePre---K Program ApplicationsK Program ApplicationsK Program Applications Our BCSC Pre-K Program is now accepting applications. Children must be 4 years old on or before August 1st, 2017. The application process will remain open, but we will start filling classroom rosters in March. The application can be found on the BCSC homepage. Kindergarten RegistrationKindergarten RegistrationKindergarten Registration Bartholomew Consolidated Elementary Schools will begin registration for students entering Kinder-garten for the 2017-18 school year. Registration will be from March 6-10, 2017. Any child that is 5 years of age by August 1, 2017, is eligible for Kindergarten. Open House for Kindergarten students is Monday, March 6 6:00-7:00 pm at Parkside. If you are unable to attend this evening session, parents are welcome to register their child in the office during the week of March 6-10th, from 9:00am-2:00pm, daily. All parents must present the following items to register their child for school: the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency. The proof of residency can
be a utility bill (not a cell phone bill), but the address reflected must match the student’s home address.

Volunteers are needed on Tuesday mornings from 8:20 to 9:15 a.m. to supervise small groups in courtyard maintenance. Cleaning up leaves, planting seeds or bedding plants, pruning lilac bushes at the east and west entrances, etc. If you can help, contact Mrs. Carr at [email protected] with the dates you can be available March 28 through May 30. Thank you for helping keep Parkside's National Wildlife Federation Schoolyard Habitat beautiful, and helping create a healthy environment for birds, bugs and students!

Attention students in Kindergarten - Third Grade: Parker Bear forms are due back on March 10. Make sure you’re keeping track of your reading minutes! Three winners per grade level will each win a prize as well as the teacher with the highest classroom participation. Prizes will be announced af-ter Spring Break. All student participants will receive a book.

Congratulations to the Parkside Math Bowl team for their second place finish at the Math Bowl competition on February 23. Parents and teachers are proud of the hard work that you put in. An extra shout out to the Round One contestants: Ben Genter, Michael Crossman, Matthew Degner and Luke Sequira for obtaining a PERFECT score of 8 in their round! Great job to all Math bowl participants. Thank you for representing Parkside Elementary so wonderfully! Next year’s topic will be AL-GEBRA! 3-5th graders start studying now! Toe Tokens … Spring 2017!!!!
They are coming back!
We will start Toe Tokens on April 3rd and end the day before the Elementary School Fitness
Run, on May 13th.
It’s an easy job, training available! All that is needed are 2-3 parents to volunteer for each
shift. Work with a friend! Once a week, more if you want.
The recess schedule is as follows:

4th grade-10:35-10:55
5th grade-11:00-11:20
6th grade 11:15-11:35
