Our Bible School is designed to meet your needs, stretch and equip you to do the work of the ministry, and help you fulfill your divine destiny. In today’s world of forced uncertainties and a denial of absolute truth, those who desire to impact their world for Jesus Christ need to be solidly grounded in the Word of God and prepared to present God’s unchanging truth with confidence as well as competence. At New Life Bible School, you will be trained academically in the Word of God and you will also be trained to flow in the Spirit of God. If the Holy Spirit is prompting you to set aside your plans to prepare you to fulfill His plan, I pray you will be sensitive to His leading. HISTORY AND BACKGROUND OF NEW LIFE BIBLE SCHOOL

The New Life Bible School (NLBS) was founded in 1999 to help equip believers to do the work of the ministry and fulfill their divine destinies. This ministry became the fulfillment of part of the vision for the New Life Fellowship Church that was given when God called Dr. Robert F. Dowell and his wife Alicia to the pastoral ministry in 1995. In July of 2001, the New Life Bible School entered into partnership with the Minnesota Graduate School of Theology and became an Associate School. In doing so, the NLBS was enabled to begin offering degree programs at the Bachelor, Masters, and Masters of Divinity level through Minnesota Graduate School of Theology. The Minnesota Graduate School of Theology is accredited with the Accrediting Commission International for Schools, Colleges, and Theological Seminaries (ACISCTS). ACISCTS is the largest independent accrediting commission in the world. ACISCTS is an international accrediting commission, which holds as its primary objective, the encouragement, and maintenance of sound scholarship at the highest academic achievement in the areas of private education from the lowest to the highest level. Minnesota Graduate School of Theology receives recognition from many organizations such as: The Full Gospel Fellowship of Ministries and Churches International, American Academy of Clinical Family Therapists, New Beginnings Family Counseling Center, and Brooklyn Center for Psychological Testing Services.

STATEMENT OF FAITH We Believe… in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We Believe… that Jesus Christ the Son suffered in our place on the cross; that He died, but rose again; that He now sits at the Father’s right hand, until He returns to judge all men at the last day. We Believe… in the Holy Scriptures as the inspired and inerrant Word of God. We Believe… that by the grace of God every person has the ability and responsibility to choose between right and wrong; those who repent of their sin and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are justified by faith.

We Believe… that God not only counts believers as righteous, but He makes them righteous, freeing them of sin’s dominion at conversion. He purifies their hearts by faith and perfecting them in love at sanctification, providing for their growth in grace at every stage of their spiritual lives. He also enables them through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to live a victorious life.

EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY Our school believes and embraces the new trend in education of a college without walls, which was pioneered by Harvard University and other institutions of higher education. Our school believes that traditional education is also important; therefore, our school maintains a balance between the college without walls, classroom training and an active involvement in a ministry program.

ACCREDITATION Many students are concerned about accreditation, and rightly so. Accreditation is one way for prospective students to know that a school and the programs, which it offers, have been recognized by an association higher than itself. Unfortunately, misunderstandings have misled some students. Many are confused as to what accreditation is. In this section we will explain what accreditation is so that you, the student, will be more informed concerning your educational choices. Whether you choose to study at NLBS or not, we hope that this information will serve you, as you research and find the program that God has for you. There are two main forms of accreditation; Independent and Regional. Basically, accreditation is a way by which educational institutions determine the acceptance of credits and degrees. All accreditation is voluntary. Many institutions that choose not to conform to governmental restrictions, but do wish to provide high quality education, choose some form of independent accreditation. New Life Bible School is an educational institution that has declined seeking Regional (Governmental) accreditation based on the desire to teach the whole Word of God. We will not compromise the Biblical message and therefore do not seek the approval of government-recognized accreditation. However, we do want to provide our students with exceptional study opportunities and course materials. For this reason, NLBS has established a partnership with Minnesota Graduate School of Theology (MGST) as an associate school. MGST will accept all courses offered at New Life Bible School. Minnesota Graduate School is accredited with the Accrediting Commission International for Schools, Colleges and Theological Seminaries (ACISCTS); it is the largest independent accrediting commission in the world.

Regional accreditation is granted by six private corporations, known as agencies. Each agency is responsible for and provides accreditation for, universities in a separate area of the country. Regional accreditation is sometimes erroneously referred to as “Governmental accreditation”. The reason regional accreditation is sometimes referred to as governmental accreditation is because schools recognized by these six agencies are recognized by the federal government, and are eligible to receive government funds. Students of these institutions are eligible for student loans and grants. Conversely, students who do not attend a regionally accredited school are not eligible for government funds. Many excellent schools are regionally accredited and students with career goals that require a degree from a regionally accredited institution will want to complete a program of study from one of the governmentally approved schools.

Developing the Leaders Around You (3 credit hours) ___This class will help you identify leaders around you that possess the potential of becoming great leaders. This class will also discuss why you, as a leader, need to develop and produce other leaders. This class will give you insight on how to understand the potential value of other leaders and to help them to grow, develop, and become more effective. Developing the Leader Within You (3 credit hours) ___This class will examine the different types of leaders. It will outline styles and principles for inspiring and influencing others. Prophets, Pitfalls, & Principles (3 credit hours) ___This class will discuss how to recognize hidden 'root' problems, detect and correct character flaws, and 'weed seed' attitudes. It will teach you how to discern true prophets using the ten M’s.

• Each student in New Life Bible School is required to complete an internship. • As a part of graduation requirements you must serve in a church or non-profit

organization and document your experience for credit. • At the conclusion of your internship experience you will be rated by your supervisor in

the following areas:
