Dr Richard Reid – A NSW based Gynecologist who Supports Many

Doctor Richard Reid is an experienced medical professional who is practicing in Edgecliff, NSW. In March 17, 2012, he and Doctor Michael Campion created The ANZIME Workshop that was aimed at helping general practitioners enhance their knowledge and experience in the gynaecology. At present, he is working with Specialist Medical Center in New South Wales.

He grew up in Papua New Guinea, and did his secondary education at Church of England Grammar School, Brisbane. Then, he did MBBS degree, an internship and residency at the Auckland Hospital Board from 1967 to 1968, Obstetrics & Gynaecology specialist training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, and Pelvic Surgery/Gynecology Oncology fellowship at Wayne State University, Detroit. In November 1996, he returned to Australia, and started a private practice.

Dr. Richard Reid who was appointed as a Conjoint Associate Professor, University of Newcastle in 2008, has great love towards sports activities. On weekends, he goes out with friends and enjoys sailing, rugby, and skiing. He says, “Sports is the best way to spend your free time. It helps you to recharge your body and mind. There is a wide range of sports activities, indoor and outdoor, and you can choose as per your interests.”

In addition, he is a benevolent person who has given a significant contribution in the betterment of the community. He has supported many charities:

- Co-organizer for fund raising events of Australian Cancer Council “Pink Ribbon” from 2014 to 15.- Patron of Operation Operating Room, Friends of Inverell Hospital, Inverell to raise donations for the local hospital.- Patron of Filpino “Kind Heart” society, which is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged children in need of foster care.

Doctor Richard Reid says that there is no greater bliss than supporting the poor and needy people. It is the best way to give back to the society, and everyone should think about making a donation to charitable organizations.
