As the project is currently being implemented, sustainability strategy and workable models are being developed, by:
Providing community ownership through decision making and supporting implementation and community led O&M
Creating inclusive institutional structures which offer space to all major stakeholders
Replication of pilots through alternative funding sources
Creating planning toolkits like local adaptation and mitigation guides (LAMGs) as living documents
Sustainability of the initiative

Local capacity is essential for responding to climatic shocks
Direct and visible benefits accrued by CCA pilots keeps community motivated
