Dr. Niza Samsuddin
Department of Community Medicine
The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said:
“Whoever draws near to Allah during it (Ramadan) with a single characteristic from the characteristics of (voluntary) goodness, he is like whoever performs an obligatory act in other times. And whoever performs an obligatory act during it, he is like whoever performed seventy obligatory acts in other times.”
(Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, no. 1887)
Narrated 'A`ishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said,
"An army will raid the Ka`bah and when it reaches a desert land, all of them will be swallowed up by the earth.'' She asked; "O Messenger of Allah! Why all of them?'' He answered, "All of them will be swallowed by the earth but they will be raised for Judgement according to their intentions.'‘

Mini research
Students are required to conduct a simple survey among the population in Kulliyyah of Medicine (For example, among the first year medical students, staff, lecturers).
Students can choose any topic of research that is appropriate and not necessary to be health or disease related topic.
This survey is the practical part of the lecture on research methodology.
The students are expected to analyse the data based on lectures on biostatistics.
Title Selection
Feasible to conduct within time period given, available resources and considering the month of Ramadhan.
