Giving legal consultation to our clients regarding different areas of practice:

1- From the mid nineties I have given Legal advice on Egyptian law to different

international law firms, foreign companies and the Egyptian Government (e.g

the Remote Sensing and Space Authority contract in 2002).

2- Reviewing a joint venture agreement between SEDE & Condotte for the

implementation of an infrastructure project in Qatar.

3- Consultation in a matter an Arbitration Case before ICSID between Ampal-

American Israel Corporation and The Arab Republic of Egypt.

4- Consultation in a matter an Arbitration case before the Permanent Court of

Arbitration between Mohamed Abdel Raouf Bahgat and the Arab Republic of

Egypt.

5- Consultation in a matter of enforcing an Arbitration award before the High

Third: Court cases

I have defended many cases in the Egyptian courts and some orab

countries, including the Supreme Constitutional Court, the Supreme

Administrative Court, the Court of Cassation, as well as Courts of Appeal

and First Instance Courts.

IV. TRAINING AND LECTURES GIVEN TO PROFESSIONAL

ENGINEERS IN CONSTRUCTION LAW AND ARBITRATION:

1. I have given over forty training courses or lectures in Cairo at the invitation of

Ain Shams and Alexandria Universities’ Faculties of Engineering, the

Egyptian Engineering Syndicate, the Cairo Regional Centre for International

Commercial Arbitration, the Egyptian Lawyers’ Syndicate, the Contractors’

Union, and the Arab Engineering Union.

2. I was invited to chair a session on the new FIDIC forms of contract at the

FIDIC international conference held in Cairo in 2005 at the Semiramis Hotel.

3. I have given both training and assessment in courses run by the Cairo Regional

Centre for International Commercial Arbitration leading to membership or

Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London.

4. I have chaired many sessions at conferences held by the Cairo Regional Centre

for International Commercial Arbitration.

5. Every year since 2001, I have been invited by the Construction Engineering

Department of the American University in Cairo to give two courses in

construction contracts in their professional program “Contractual and Legal

Matters in Construction Industry”.

6. I have given over twenty training courses or lectures in the region (Lebanon,

V. SUPERVISION OF RESEARCH

From 1986 until now I have supervised over 60 Masters’ and Doctoral theses

in law. In addition, I have been a member of more than 90 examining panels

for Masters’ and Doctoral theses in law.
