A translation of selected Egyptian poetry from the Old, Middle and New Kingdoms simplified and presented in such a way to appeal to younger readers as well. The use of poetry here helps as a framework to put ancient Egyptian history in context and show its relevance to our modern times.

This book deals with women in ancient Egypt from a new perspective. It uses the lives of Egypt’s famous queens to show how this civilisation celebrated the female principle and enshrined it in its value system which is oriented towards creativity, permanence, balance, harmony and peace.

The book tells the story of Imhotep, the father of ancient Egyptian medicine and architecture. He designed the first stone building in history - Saqarra Pyramid. Readers will be introduced to one of the great figures in the ancient civilisation of the Pharaohs.

The Encyclopaedia of Ideas traces the history of human civilisation through the impact of the most influential ideas of humankind. This three-volume encyclopaedia covers the major philosophers, themes, movements and periods making an indispensable reference for any student or general reader.

The book deals with the ‘symbolic journey’ of the lotus flower in the history of art. It begins with the art of ancient Egypt and other ancient civilisations through renaissance and modern art.

A wide-ranging overview of the world spanning East to West to study and compare ancient civilisations. The titles are richly illustrated with maps, plates, and drawings. The first volume is a roundup of the ancient civilisa-tions of Egypt, Greece, Iraq, China and Mexico.
