The Skills Gap
Perceptions Reality
All countries worldwide but the 3 largest are missing – China, India and Russia
All professional trades covered missing - important materials (e.g. polymer, rubber),
physiotherapy, environment and nano technology
Multi-national training but only in one company - international exchange?
All firms should train skills more and more companies avoid training apprentices due to the high costs
All certified apprentices all should get a job on successful completion – but only 70 to 90% do
Not just a technician in addition to the technical, practical skills, business orientation and computer literacy is important
