Types of Peripheral Neuropathy

There are many types of Peripheral Neuropathy that are classified based on their root causes. Some of them were brought about by:

genetic predispositions (hereditary)

post-chemotherapy

heavy metal toxicities

alcoholism

diabetes

Symptoms of Peripheral Neuropathy

Patients who are diagnosed with any type of peripheral neuropathy often have very similar symptoms.These symptoms include:

numbness

loss of sensation

tingling

and sleep disturbance.

Determining PN’s components

Thorough evaluation is necessary to determine the component of any type of Peripheral Neuropathy.
