Dr. JEUTI BAROOAH Professor Centre for Tribal and Customary Law at Central University of Jharkhand BRIEF PROFILE : JEUTI BAROOAH went on to graduate in Anthropology and completed her M.Sc. (Social Anthropology) from Gauhati University, Assam. Thereafter, she completed her LL.B. from the same university and began a long and illustrious journey in legal research. She joined the Law Research Institute (LRI) of the Gauhati High Court as a Research Officer and enrolled as a research scholar in Dibrugarh University to earn her Ph.D. Gradually, her research in various fields of law was appreciated by the Gauhati High Court for which she was appointed as Director in 1993. Her association with human rights of women and children also earned her membership of many prestigious state bodies and commissions for women and children. But her greatest recognition came when the Gauhati High Court asked her to rejoin as Director of the Law Research Institute on 01 January, 2011, after her retirement in February 2010. Dr. JEUTI BAROOAH Professor

Centre for Tribal and Customary Law at Central University of Jharkhand

BRIEF PROFILE : JEUTI BAROOAH went on to graduate in Anthropology and completed her M.Sc. (Social Anthropology) from Gauhati University, Assam. Thereafter, she completed her LL.B. from the same university and began a long and illustrious journey in legal research. She joined the Law Research Institute (LRI) of the Gauhati High Court as a Research Officer and enrolled as a research scholar in Dibrugarh University to earn her Ph.D.

Gradually, her research in various fields of law was appreciated by the Gauhati High Court for which she was appointed as Director in 1993.
